Very disappointed. Let me down when my dog needed them most

My Bichon is 14 years old and suffers with arthritis. My vet suggested doing cold laser therapy and it helped so much with her movement. However without any advanced notice, overnight Trupanion changed the cold laser therapy to a separate rider and then said if I purchase the rider, something that was once covered FOR MONTHS, is now considered pre-existing and they will no longer cover it. So when my dog actually needed their help the most while she suffers from arthritis, they just ripped the rug right out from beneath her. They took away something that was once covered yet I am still paying the same ridiculous amount each month ($115). I have been a customer for many years and have SIX animals covered with them (5 dogs and 1 cat) and they refuse to work with me. I consider that unforgivable. I used to highly recommend them to everyone I know and that will never happen again now. I feel completely let down by a company that I used to revere. Very, very sad!

I am very happy with the service.

I am very happy with the service that I have received and the coverage that has been provided to my furry baby. Every time I call, I get a real person. Most of the vet needs for our dog have been cover. I heard nightmare stories regarding other companies providing pet insurance. I have had nothing but great help.

No hassle for emergency dental

My sweet GSD awoke with a severely swollen face. After rushing to the vet, it’s discovered he has an abscessed canine. Surgery scheduled after beginning antibiotics- vital due to last years cruciate ligament surgery- and tooth removed. No hassle filing for claim. Electronic paid. Simple. We are so pleased with having pet insurance with Nationwide for all 3 of our dogs. It gives us peace of mind that we can provide them with stellar care without losing the house.

Great, at first.

I chose PetsBest when we first adopted our rescue. Still in need of puppy care. I selected the premium that stated coverage up to a certain point in regular annual care. At first it was great covered certain things, etc. Now that our second year has rolled around, it has covered anything. I'm pretty disappointed. As I understood it would renew certain coverage every year. I would discontinue the coverage, but if any emergency were to happen... well, I've read they are very helpful in that area.

I am so impressed with Healthy Paws that I am just going to post my original email as my review! "Hi Healthy Paws, I am so very, very impressed with your wonderful service - from the start of Bilbo getting sick to quickly settling the claim so I could pay off my credit card immediately. Your caring, thoughtful representatives helped me feel reassured as Bilbo was going through the surgery that the treatment should be covered or at least the claim would be addressed expeditiously. Bilbo is doing much better - he just had his stitches taken out of his tummy yesterday so he can get back into the streams and lakes like the real hiking dog he loves to be. Very pleased
