Awesome

Max was diagnosed with renal lymphoma and congestive heart failure. I called Nationwide immediately, and the agent was very sympathetic and explained my plan to me. I was thrilled to hear that everything would be covered, including his chemotherapy. He was in the hospital for a full week before he could come home. He now has weekly chemotherapy visits. I paid over $10,000 so far and everything was covered! It was so great to just tell the doctors to do whatever they needed to do to care for Max and not have to work about the money. I was able to place my full focus on Max, and not the cost of his treatment. Thank you so much Nationwide! I have been telling everyone my amazing experience with Nationwide. Thanks to Nationwide and all of the doctors, Max is now in partial remission and his EKG is back to normal, after just over a month!!!

Insensitive uncaring money hoarders

I am so disappointed by nationwide today. I submitted a second claim for my cat who was diagnosed with cancer and had to be put down. The claim is not being paid without past medical history, even though she didnt have any health problems prior to this, therefore I have no past medical history. We are being accused of getting a cancer diagnosis before getting her insurance policy which is absolutely ridiculous. She got sick and died within a month, there is no way we could have kept her alive through this ailment. On top of that after explaining on the phone that she passed away to one of your agents I still got an email saying that nationwide hopes she is feeling better and how glad they were they could help pay. Well she isn’t feeling better thanks for reminding me she’s dead. And you didn’t pay for it. We’re still out $2500 despite getting pet insurance. What peice of mind I had from having insurance is gone and now I am considering canceling my dogs policy.

Best investment best insurance

Nationwide Pet Insurance has been the best investment we have made in our pup. They are responsive and seem to constantly be looking for ways to improve their services. Being able to submit claims with you phone is fantastic and saves so much time. I love how Nationwide even emails after we submit a claim with well wishes for our dog. Completely worth the financial investment as it pays for itself within a few well visits or sick visits.

Processing claims takes too long.

Processing claims takes too long. Also reviews for a preexisting condition are taking 3 months. I pay my premiums on time each month and should have quicker service.

It was comforting to know he could be seen without it becoming a financial burden

I signed up with VPI before Nationwide took over but have never regretted my decision. In the 6 years we've had Rook in our lives, we've only had to draw on the insurance in an emergency three times. The refunds we get for regular healthcare is nice, but it is those after hour calls when we think this family member might be in real trouble that our relationship with Nationwide is most appreciated. We are blessed that his 'emergencies' were minor and easily resolved by Dr. Fink and his staff. We are very grateful to Nationwide's pet coverage and would refer it to anyone.
