Best Company

I have Nationwide for all my insurance needs, not just pet! But this review is for their Pet Insurance. I shopped around a lot before picking Nationwide when my dog was a baby puppy. I haven’t regretted my choice for a moment. Insurance doesn’t always “pay for itself” but it is there as needed, and great piece of mind in case of an emergency. Their claims submission process is easy, and I use their VitusVet option. I also have the plan with wellness. Best decision ever, because with flea/tick/heart worm meds, and vaccines, the deductible always gets covered then the insurance is sitting out there for any other wellness or illness needs. I’ve recommended this product to everyone, as it was recommended to me!

Nationwide Pet Insurance and a dental problem for our Lab, Charlie

The Veterinary dentist in Oswego, Illinois was very efficient in handling Charlie's dental problem. Since he had to have a tooth pulled rather than a root canal, the dentist was thorough in showing the x-rays, explaining why a root canal would not work in Charlie's case, therefore pulling the molar. If it wasn't for Nationwide pet insurance, we wouldn't have been able to have this done for him

Customer Service

I have 4 English chocolate labs and all are insured. I have never had a problem with a claim or receiving timely payments. Direct deposit to my Canine account is great!

Thankful for Insurance

Sending in the vet claims was incredibly easy. The explanation when claims were returned either paid or not was clear. Thank goodness for this insurance. I was able to get my pet the care he needed without blinking an eye about cost. My only criticism is that the claim process can sometimes take weeks which is a little slow when you’ve already fronted the cash.

Amazing

When I got my dog Ellie, my wife and I decided that we are going to give our dog the best life possible. That included getting pet insurance. I've had dogs through the years but I never had coverage for them. This time, I was going to get it cause you want to be prepared for the unexpected. I can tell you, I was not disappointed in choosing Nationwide. They have been there for those times you could never prepare for (injuries, Pet ER visits). They are a lifesaver and I highly recommend all pet owners to get coverage through them.

Amazing company!

I have had pet insurance before and have been frustrated and disappointed. We got pets best insurance when we got our new puppy. I chose the 90% coverage w/$250 deductible with no lifetime cap and also included some preventative medication. Unfortunately, I've had to file 2 large claims! One for intestinal blockage. He ate a piece of a toy. The second claim was for a very serious dog bite that nearlu killed him. The vet bill was over $10,000.00. The company was recently acquired so I was concerned they would find a way to decline my claim. They paid it! (they took a bit longer than the first claim but there were a lot of charges and records to review.) What a relief! We are still working on rehabilitation but knowing pets best took care of us really is a big relief! We will be getting a new puppy next week and I will, immediately add him to our policy!!! I have referred pets best to many of my friends.
