Great Insurance with excellent customer service.
I believe the cost is a little too high, but I'm also happy with the insurance I have. Although I spent a lot every paycheck, I'm giving the confidence to go to any Vet and have my costs covered. I'm also extremely satisfied with the customer service provided, and how concerned everyone is about my pet. I will definitely recommend this insurance.

Customer service was awesome! Helped explain some confusion with how to file the claim.
There is one area when filing a claim that is confusing. It asks for "Vet diagnosis" - when really it is simply an area to write the nature of the visit - why the pet needed treatment. I wrote the exact terms from the Vet invoice and my claim was initially sent back - "needing a diagnosis". The customer service rep was so helpful - I simply had to write what was going on - my claim was then instantly accepted! YAY!

Having a rescue was a challenge, but nationwide did pay some claims
Ellie is doing better. But it was difficult her being a rescue had no medical records. Alot of going back and forth but nationwide did pay some claims.

Once you get through the medical review process...(if requested), .the claims service is outstanding.
If your pet is older, Nationwide may request medial records prior to paying the first claim(s) submitted. In our case, it took 45 days (they notify you it can take up to 60 days) after submitting our records. Initially,we were unhappy with the length of time it took for the medical review. However, they were always very friendly and helpful when I called to check on the progress. After this process was completed, we now receive payment on our claims within 3 business days (if you sign up for electronic claims payment). We are now extremely happy and would recommend this insurance to everyone, especially if you have an older pet that requires more medical attention.
