Hot Spot Revew

I like Nationwide so far because Vet files claims to Nationwide and I don't have to worry about paperwork errors and then Nationwide expedites reimbursement checks quickly back to me. I have far less likely to wait on an issue now because of lack of money for the vet. Gives me piece of mind I am doing the right thing. . (PS, contact information provided is confidential).

Run ...they are horrible......they will lie to you and reject your claim

I had a long drawn out drama with this insurance....I had a sick cat that was hospitalized just 2 days after I adopted her from the Humane Society....I was given misleading information and was told the claim would be handled personally by Ashlee W...who I spoke to... a supervisor in there member center...that she would make an exception and take care of things for me inspite of me just getting the insurance very recently...all lies!...the claim was rejected....thank god I got my almost 700 dollars in Vet bills reimbursed by the Humane society...long story...because this insurance is crap....they'll run you around and you'll get no where....save your money and go elsewhere.. .

Best choice I've made

I cannot say enough good things about this company - I purchased pet insurance for my pup when she was 10 weeks old being the over cautious pet parent, hoping it would never be needed and it never did until 4 years later. My pup tore her CCL, which I never knew was a thing - not only is it a very expensive procedure, there are Xray's, pain meds etc that go along with it. It was so easy to snap a picture of each receipt on your phone and then submit a claim, within 2 minutes. From there, i can't believe how quickly the claims are paid out, ESPECIALLY the one for the massive surgery - I filed on Friday and the money was direct deposited back into my account the next Tuesday. It was almost too easy. This company has also been personally emailing me checking out how my dog is doing and check her status!!!!...Now a days real customer service is hard to find and these people have it figured out.

Excellent

Nationwide's super easy claim submission process allows my vet to submit claims directly and my reimbursement arrives quickly every time! This has allowed us to properly care for our aging family member and get him all the treatments he needs.

Sadie is a happier dog because of this insurance

When I adopted Sadie, she had incredible anxiety issues from the places she'd been before the shelter rescued her. Because the coverage under the wellness plan, I was able to include many visits with our vet and medication to get her to a happier place. The services would've been outside of my budget without this coverage. I never had any issues with my claims and they were all paid in a timely manner. Sadie is a very happy dog and we are grateful for your help in getting her there!

Beyond typical service. Verified responsive to needs.

Through misrepresentations in veterinary notes, our dog was incorrectly assigned some pre-existing conditions which results in denied claims, which was disappointing and gave us fears of poor customer service and poor value. Nationwide was fantastic in being open minded to the correction of the erroneous notes which gave the false pre-existing conditions and denials. I am so happy to say that nationwide came through and fixed the pre-existing condition status, and settled all claims as they should have. they also made it very easy to submit claims, and request reviews to fix the problem. I'm pleased to say that they seem to be very above board, straightforward, and ethical. I am completely satisfied that they do the right thing.

One of the best decisions we’ve made!!

Great customer service and very fast payment on claims. I was Leary of signing up for pet insurance but it truely saved us this past year when our dog suffered a rupture cruchiate ligament.

Easy to submit claims, and claims are paid quickly.

I checked many companies for pet insurance, asked my vet, and asked other pet owners who had pet insurance. All recommended Nationwide, so I chose them, and am very happy I did. Their coverage is far superior to other companies, it's easy to submit claims, and the claim reimbursements are made quickly.

Nationwide delivers on its promises

I have two dogs insured with Nationwide and I recommend this company often because of it's excellent service and delivery on its promises. I want to give particular praise for customer service representative, Marcia Bryant. She is so efficient and friendly. I feel this makes all the difference because when you need to use pet insurance you are already in a stressful situation and need that extra level of expertise and comfort
