Excellent Service
Pet Best responded very quickly and paid the vet direct. The vet normally wanted money up front but worked with me and they filed direct with Pet Best. Pet Best paid the vet directly. I highly recommend Pet Best for pet insurance.

Love Pets Best
We love our Pets Best insurance. We still have an outstanding claim though and that concerns me.

Very Helpful with all my Fur babies
I have had several policies with Pets Best and they are always very helpful, especially when switching policies or having to cancel one when my sweet kitty died. Alex was very sweet on the phone the few times I spoke with her and I recommend Pets Best to all my friends.

Well-communicated
Though my claim was quite small, Pets Best treated it as if it were just as important as a much larger, more complex claims. The only small issue I have was that the response seemed to take a bit too much time, though I did appreciate the email sent to tell me that they were working on it.

Excellent customer service, necessary coverage, and timely responses
Healthy Paws made a difficult situation a lot less stressful. Our pup Nox ate a Black Walnut, got sick, and needed an emergency surgery. I called to confirm coverage and they were informative and sympathetic to our situation. After the ordeal was over and we had the bill we were able to easily upload our claim using the app. We were updated throughout the process by Healthy Paws with updates as to the status of our claim. Within two weeks they paid our claim and covered everything they said they would with no hiccups or hold ups. It saved us thousands of dollars.

There's not much that could make a tooth extraction less painful- Healthy Paws was able to make it happen!
Healthy Paws has been by my dog's side since I got her 3 years ago, through ear infections, injuries at the dog park, etc., but really came through for us when my dog broke her tooth and ended up needing an extraction. Through the fear of putting my dog under anesthesia, I also was scared about how I would afford the procedure and Healthy Paws came through for me with my coverage. I have never been more thankful for pet insurance than I have through this process. I also learned how much they care- I got a personal follow-up message asking how my dog was doing during her recovery. I recently considered switching pet insurance companies, but after this will be a Healthy Paws customer for the life of my dog and for any future pets I may have. Additionally, they keep making things easier when submitting claims- I have seen their process get more streamlined. They've always responded to claims quickly, but they also always beat their 10-day processing time.

Fantastic Experience - Great Customer Service, highly recommend Healthy Paws
Recently our 3-year-old Yorkie mix ruptured a disc, and had to undergo emergency surgery. Not only was this emotionally stressful the vet bills added up quickly and it would have been very difficult had we not had pet Insurance with Healthy Paws. We just wanted to get him though the surgery regardless of what was covered, or not covered, and then we’d submit the claim to Healthy Paws and see where the chips fell. I was shocked at how fast and seamless the process went from claim submission to us receiving a direct deposit of payment. Total process took less than 1 week, and this was a very large vet bill, close to $8000. Furthermore, they actually followed up after the procedure to see how he was doing. It’s going to be a long, stressful recovery but knowing we have Healthy Paws in our corner takes a part of the stress out of the equation. Hands down the best customer service I have ever received. This was a freak accident that could have happened to any pet owner, and if you don’t believe me stop by your nearest emergency pet hospital and take a look at the crowd in the lobby. I am telling everyone I see walking dogs, or that I know have dogs/cats about our experience and strongly suggest they invest in pet Insurance, and trust Healthy Paws. It is a small investment for the peace of mind. Thank you Healthy Paws.

Unbelievably great customer service!
I can't say enough great things about Embrace's customer service. My dog unfortunately ended up at the Pet ER (prior to having insurance) and by the time I submitted my first claim the server at the Pet ER had been down and they were unable to access my dog's records AND they had no details on when it would be up and running. I was so frustrated and nervous that if those records were gone for good, I'd be screwed out of pet insurance for my dog. But, I spoke with the customer service and they offered to contact Pet ER as well as my primary vet to check for any records and I'm not sure how they got them, but later that day, my claim was covered! So incredibly thankful for their patience and time to take care of my issue.

The best pet insurance!
I’m amazed at how easy and quick healthy paws were when my dog tore her acl. I couldn’t have had a better experience with them and not to mention the peace of mind knowing that within a week I was fully reimbursed!! Unheard of! Thank you healthy paws for caring about my Fur baby! They even followed up with an email to check on her recovery:)

Welcome to the AKC Pet Insurance family? Really? Which family?
"Welcome to the family". That is what AKC Pet insurance tells its customers when they sign up. Our experience with this insurance company has been anything but a family experience. Family member care for each other. In our case, this company only cared about its ability to not cover medical treatment. We have a Labrador puppy. She is 7 months old. When she was 4 months, she injured her left front paw playing with other dogs in the park. The vet we used to go to, told us to give her some pain killers, rest her and to make sure she would not eat too much. It turns out that her growth plates were damaged and she started developing what is known as elbow dysplasia. A couple of months later she injured her left front paw again. We went to AMC in NYC, probably the best veterinary hospital in the country. They have been running tests to determine the extent and the origin of our dog's condition because they have been puzzled by this injury and unable to determine whether it was caused by trauma or by a genetic condition, or by a combination of both. For full disclosure: we know that Labrador retrievers are prone to elbow dysplasia and we are ready to accept their diagnostic if they determine it was purely genetic. AKC Pet insurance did not even wait for the exams to be completed. They decided it was genetic and denied all the claims. So basically, their position is that they know better than specialists. Or they put your pet in an Excel spreadsheet and consider it as just a cost they have to minimize to increase their profits. One last thing. Be careful if you have a Labrador or a large dog: elbow dysplasia is not even mentioned as such in the contract they send you. It is called osteoarthritis on the letter z of all the exemptions they include not to cover your pet. We hope our experience can be helpful when you make decisions whether to buy insurance from this company or not. Looking back we should have listened to the warnings we had read on this website.
