Worth having
While the insurance policy is quite pricey it is worth it and it has paid off. I figure if I add up my monthly premiums e.g. ~$100 for the year = ~$1200 and get paid on claims throughout the year at minimum $1201, it was worth it. Every year, but 1 in 13 years, that has been the case for me. The ease of submission of claims is great and being able to check the status of the claims plus EOB online, is super easy and convenient as well.

Thankful
When I first adopted my rescue at 6 months old, I hesitated getting dog insurance. For one, I was on a budget, and really couldn't waste money. I reviewed the plans, talked to people I know that had pet insurance, and decided I would at least get the major medical coverage. Well, let's just say that I am thankful that I made that decision. Nationwide has been extremely nice to deal with, answering any questions that I may have, and also they process claims on a timely basis. Highly recommended.

Caring, helpful and easy
My dog was diagnosed with bone cancer back in May. We've been so busy taking care of him & trying to keep him pain free that I totally forgot to submit claims for his care. 6 months later, I called to see if there was any time limit in submitting claims and the representative was so incredibly caring and kind. She was compassionate about our situation and let us know that Nationwide doesn't have any time constraints, which was a huge relief. What moved me so much was the phone representative. She was so kind and understanding & made me feel at ease. I submitted the claims and within a week & a 1/2 those claims were paid. Thank you Nationwide for giving me one less thing to stress about.

Amazing Experience
Unfortunately after only having our puppy a few weeks he was hit by a car and had to spend 4 days in the hospital inclusive of 30 hours of oxygen therapy to ensure there was no respiratory or neorologic damage before having orthopedics assess the fracture in his front right leg , Thankfully he pulled through and his surgery went well and he’s back home with us ! I had had my policy 3 days but was blown away how easy the process was to file a claim and had 90 pct of the 6k vet bill not only covered but direct deposited into my bank account in less than a week ! Customer service was also very empathetic to our ordeal

Excellent service and response to questions and claims.
I’ve had Nationwide pet insurance for several years now. I am extremely satisfied with their service, support, response time and claims processing. While no one likes to pay for insurance, we all know it can be necessary. I feel there is a very good value proposition with Nationwide and satisfied with the return on my investment. I would definitely recommend.
