I cannot say enough good things about…

I cannot say enough good things about this insurance. Bentley was diagnosed with a spinal tumor. It came out of nowhere; from one day to the next, he was unable to walk. Through all the pain, it took only two days after submitting my claim to receive the refund, and without us even calling, they removed him from the policy. Thank you, Nationwide!

I am so grateful for Pumpkin Insurance

I am so grateful for Pumpkin Insurance! Our dog Atlas was in the ER and accrued a very expensive bill. We were able to get him the care he needed without the worry and bring him home that night. I submitted the claim to Pumpkin Insurance the next morning and we were reimbursed for 90% of the claim that same morning. Without the financial stress, we were able to get Atlas the appropriate care right away and help him recover. He is doing great, back to his old antics! I will never have dog without Pumpkin Insurance. We recommend Pumpkin Insurance 10/10

Great coverage

During our one-year-old Maltipoos Wellness visit with the vet she ended up having a double ear infection. I submitted the entire bill and pumpkin credited me for the ear infection and the medication used to treat it. I thought that was fabulous. Great communication with this company

Claims and customer support

Austin my 6 yr old was diagnosed with phenomena and lots and lots of med and visits to the vet with my health being an issue as well doing the claims for this was hard the app wouldn't allow me to send through the portable and support tried on their end but ended sending through email it took a while before it was done but I was like a month later sending it in also being the holidays but they are coming through for me and the customer support was great when I called and had questions

All I did was answer a few basic questions and uploaded my receipt. Pumpkin contacted my vet for any additional information that was needed, and I was reimbursed two weeks later via auto-deposit. They’ve been great and I highly recommend!!!

Infuriating process

Several claims take months to get processed, requiring multiple phone calls to reopen claims that were closed because my vet did not get them records they request in time (which was only a few days, totally unreasonable amounts of time). The customer service reps are kind on the phone, but ultimately have no actual knowledge of what is happening, and its impossible to get someone who actually deals with the claims on the phone. They regularly say they will follow up in 3 to 5 days, and never do, I always have to call again if there is still a problem after a week. My last claim was closed after my vet took 3 days to get them the med records they required (even though it took 3 weeks for Pets Best to start looking at the claim). Then once I got someone on the phone to reopen the claim, it sat with no activity for weeks. Then they claimed the invoice was unreadable, even though on the original claim it was itemized by them, so they read it without issue. Their website also would not let me re-upload documents. Sent the invoice again via email and never got any response that way. Had to call 3 more times to get them to look at the claim properly. In the meantime, they closed the claim AGAIN, which required a final call to get it reopened and looked at properly. I guess to give them some credit they did eventually pay the claim after 2 and 1/2 months and waiting for hours on hold, all total across 6 separate calls to them. I cancelled my policy and looked elsewhere after that.
