Sick visit
I uploaded my claim the same day as our vet appointment. About two weeks and I received notice that they were getting more information from my Vet. I was fully reimbursed for my claim about 4 to 5 weeks after my submission.

Rates have increased exponentially
Rates have increased exponentially. They have also unilaterally reduced coverage in a misguided attempt to keep some policyholders from jumping ship due to the super high rates. They lure you in with low rates when your pet is young and then increase them beyond affordability once you are unable to get coverage elsewhere due to your pets age or pre-existing conditions. Also, beware that the exam fees for the vet are NOT covered, even for an illness or injury. You are better off putting the money into a dedicated account for care for your pet if you ever need it. At age 7, my dog's premiums are right at $100 per month. I have paid premiums for 7 years with $0 in paid claims. Pure waste of money.

Our 12 year old yorkie mix was…
Our 12 year old yorkie mix was extremely sick. He had pancreatitis, an enlarged heart and was in kidney failure. We took him to Blue Pearl in Overland Park, KS. They were amazing. They had to do lab work, ultrasounds, IV fluid and much more while he stayed three days in the hospital. Trupanion not only worked directly with the hospital but gave us peace of mind that his treatment would be covered. Out of a 10k bill, we only paid $1100. Without Trupanion we would not have been able to pay for the care Charlie much needed.

Pets Best was amazing!
I have Pets Best on all 3 of my dogs and it's something that you hope you never need, but when you do, you're glad you have it! My boy, Dublin, recently had a foreign body obstruction and needed emergency surgery to remove it. Of the $6,000, my out of pocket expense was about $1200. I am now the poster child for pet insurance and tell everyone I come in contact with about it! My claim was processed in about 2 weeks, but everything was as it was supposed to end deposited into my account as directed about a week after the claim was approved.
We have a very a very sick dog right…
We have a very a very sick dog right now. It’s comforting to know we have this insurance so we can put our efforts on Annie, instead of how much we’re spending.

Figo is amazing
Figo is amazing, my two furry feline girls are seniors , and beginning last year, it has been difficult for both, vet bills are very high and One of my girls has a "team" of vets Figo has been very supportive and the majority of the bills have been well covered . I always tell friends and clients(i am pet sitter) that pet insurance is extremely important i always recommend Figo

Far too expensive for far too little coverage.
I'm canceling my policy. I started a Figo pet insurance policy in May of 2023 and got a discount using my Costco membership. Very disappointed with the very poor coverage made even worse by the expensive and ever increasing monthly premiums. We have submitted a grand total of 6 claims in 3 years. The claims were for visits costing us $1,443. We got a total of $302 reimbursed which is about 21% of the $1,443. In one year the premium went up 21%, and the next year it went up a very reasonable 3%, but this year it's going up over 10%. A total increase of over 37% in 3 years is far too much for far too little coverage. I gave it 2 stars instead of one for the ease of submitting claims electronically.
