The insurance is great but check for wait times
Overall the insurance is great with the coverage and price being better than other plans. However, you have to be very mindful when signing up to be sure there is no wait time for any component going into effect. When I signed up for two of my cats there was no wait time but when I signed up my 3rd cat there was a wait time for illness and I did not fully understand the implications which meant that anything the vet noticed at the initial exam (in my case the cat had diarrhea and a possible heart murmur) was considered preexisting and will never be covered. This has resulted in them excluding reimbursement portions of standard biannual tests including fecal exams (which are part of a test package of blood and fecal) from my claims. Also, while the customer service reps are empathetic it’s better to talk to a manager when trying to resolve claim issues. Jess has been more responsive and helpful than others.

This the worst Insurance ever
This the worst Insurance ever. I submited a claim in July and I didn t receive any response from them i call 5 times about my claim, i had to do his work and ask the Clinic for the history to send it to them because they didn t do it.After 4 months I kept paying $70 every month, and they never solved my problem.

Good coverage, but not transparent about rising premium
I like that you're clear about reviewing claims and which claims will be covered, I've had a great experience in that regard! But I don't get notified when the premium rises. My premium increased over the past two years and I don't really know what to expect in the future, and I'm not notified when it happens. Also, the app is horrendous. I can't look at my updated policy packet!

Amazing service!
We submitted a claim on our dog who unfortunately had to be euthanized after medical complications. We were only expecting to be reimbursed for the ER visit. We were surprised to receive a refund for the unused portion of our annual-paid policy as well. We also used Pets Best for chemo treatment reimbursement for lymphoma with our other dog, and appreciated how easy it was to submit those claims. Pets Best has earned our business for all our future pets!
