Excellent customer service during a very stressful time with my pet. Nearly seamless process. Agents I dealt with via telephone and online chat were clearly animal lovers and empathetic to my emotional state when dealing with my pet's injury and subsequent surgery. Once I posted my invoices, I received approval of my claim within 24 hours! I highly recommend insuring your pets with Trupanion.

Best decision ever to get insurance
Trupanion is the best - I always tell people how glad I am to have Trupanion cover my Jack -he is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier , and had surgery on both legs - when he was about 3 years old - and with Trupanion we can afford to give Jack the medical care he deserves - Thankyou Trupanion - we are so happy we are with you

Second Thoughts
I made my first claim and Trupanion is already trying to find a loophole to not pay so I am not sure if I will be keeping it. I figured it was a scam, but wanted to try it.

Not happy initially ok now
I think the deductible should have included the original testing which was over $300. Now I have sending receipts for medications which makes me wonder why I have the insurance

Ok. Do you have actual vets read over the records and claims? The two claims that I had to do appeals on were common sense stuff that was missed like who ever was looking at them was not a medical professional ? The claims took forever to process because they were not read by someone who understood them. I work for veterinary emergency group and have always recommended you guys to clients. But if it takes this long to get claims processed and if the average person was to send in what I sent in they may not have the medical background to pickup mistakes

Trupanion should be transparent about all of the available riders to policies considering you have 30 days from the time you elect a policy to add a rider.

I had a good experience with Trupanion but then today found out that they had not yet paid the vet for a charge from two weeks ago. I'd feel more positive about my experience if the charge had been paid in a more timely manner.
