Do NOT use Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

Do NOT use Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. After 13+ years of paying extremely high premiums for 90% coverage with a $100 deductible, they are now cutting coverage to 70% and raising the deductible to $500 simply because my dog is older—with no option to keep the plan I paid for. This 70% / $500 plan is now the best they will offer me. They love to market “no cap on payouts” and fast reimbursement—but who cares if they pay quickly when they change your policy right when you need it most? I genuinely feel bad for people leaving glowing reviews who haven’t reached this stage yet. Those reviews may be accurate now—but when your pet gets older and you truly need the insurance, this is when Healthy Paws lets you down. This is not trustworthy insurance.

I like ASPCA

I like ASPCA, but the claim process has been difficult. For example if my dog went to the vet for wellness check, and they received the vaccine that is included in my coverage and I miss selected the correct treatment it would not be covered even though on the paperwork it clearly shows that my pet received that treatment.

Best in the business

I have been with Trupanion for many years. The service is good but very expensive. Trupanion settles claims quickly. My previous dog had congestive heart failure and I paid less for him than I do for my 2 year old cavapoo. Seems a bit off to me. I know prices go up over time but starting at such a high rate doesn't seem right.

Easy Process

Submitting my claim was easy. There were no follow up questions, and I clearly received exactly what was promised. I have absolutely no notes on improvement.

More than a week trying to process a claim, receiving message try later. On hold for more than 25 minutes trying to reach someone. Is the company still in business or should I look for another provider. Please let me know. Thank you.

Highly recommend for peace of mind

I had such a great experience with ASPCA that I switched all of my dogs insurance over to them. I have felt that my claims were processed quickly and honestly, and the customer service has always been friendly and helpful. I recommend ASPCA to anyone searching for pet insurance.

Pets Best Works As Claimed & Expected

You can't help but hear complaints or even downright horror stories about various pet insurances not working as advertised or promised; but I have had the best experiences, so far, with Pets Best! I pay the Vet, as is the case with most pet insurance polices, submit my receipt to Pets Best (both the app and web site work flawlessly), and within a matter of days the claim is approved for the covered amount, complete with a detailed explanation, and a few days later my reimbursement amount is automatically deposited into my bank account. Honestly, it can't be much easier!

Top notch

My dog Maggie recently got into the trash and eat some chicken bones. She fell sick, needed ultrasound, and x-rays to make sure that nothing was wrong inside. She spent the overnight at a veterinarian hospital in one day at her vet. Trupanion was top-notch. I can’t express how happy I am with their coverage. It would’ve been detrimental to our family budget to have to pay the entire bill.
