I had trouble logging on to the iPhone…

I had trouble logging on to the iPhone app. once i did i could make my claim for reimbursement easily. however, i could not access the account info nor history. I was able to access my account via the website on my pc. I just feel the process was clunky and frustrating.

PetsBest has always been an amazing…

PetsBest has always been an amazing insurance company to have. When I started having health issues with my pup the last thing I had to worry about was coverage. Their customer service is also A+. I have referred them to all my family and friends. Thank you for making hard times less stressful.

The APP does not work smoothly

The APP does not work smoothly. I like the convenience of the APP, but the APP is not always working. I recently submitted a claim and I kept receiving a message that there was a problem submitting my claim to try again, which I did. It took about 5-6 times to get the claim to go through. The next day I received about 5-6 emails indicating that I submitting the claim, which gave the appearance that I was submitting the claim multiple times, when the APP only accepted once. Other times the APP is down and not working.

Hamlet

Unfortunately, with Hamlet, our worst nightmare came true. He was having trouble walking and we weren't able to intervene any other way except for surgery. He had neck surgery and unfortunately experienced a lot of complications afterwards and eventually had to be put to sleep three weeks after his surgery. It was the hardest three weeks of our life as he remained at an emergency vet facility the entire time, unable to breathe well. He was on a ventilator, off of ventilator and back on. It was a very sad time for our entire family but Pets Best came through for us when it mattered. The last thing we wanted to do was to have to put our dog to sleep because of financial reasons. While it can be tough to come up with the money upfront to pay for Veterinary Care we knew in the back of our minds Petsbest would eventually come through. I have to admit we were a little worried and we didn't want Pets Best to feel like we were taking advantage of a situation, but we just couldn't bear to say goodbye as there was hope of recovery. We do want to thank Pets Best from the bottom of our hearts for everything.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
