Easy and fast claims

The app makes everything easy to submit claims for my cat's vet bills. I just take a picture of the invoice and upload it to the claims submission. It took about a week from submission date to reimbursement.

Better than I could have hoped for

Pets Best Came Through for Our Golden Retriever's Dental Need

Well, it all started with something we weren't expecting - our Golden Retriever Teddy somehow had the tip of his right canine tooth break off. Our guy's health has always been a top concern for us, and we've always supported it by including Pets Best insurance in his care. His plan has always been there, but we had never had a need until now. Our regular Vet referred us to a canine dental specialist since the canine tooth is a critical tooth in the health of a dog. Our dental specialist said we were seeing them at the right time and the tooth could be saved. Well, who knew dogs could get a root canal and crown? We sure didn't, but we are glad our dentist was able to save Teddy's tooth. Come to find out many of the staff at the doggie dental office also rely on Pets Best for their own pets. Our paperwork was well prepared and the submittal process with Pets Best was very easy. We were kept informed via both email and status reported via the app on our phone. While it took a couple of weeks to process, the procedure was approved and we were reimbursed. Yes, we were happy that Pets Best fulfilled the claim... it makes us feel like they understand how important our pet's health is to us, and being there when we really needed it helps keep our family financially stable. Pets Best has been a good investment for us, and certainly a good investment for our pup Teddy. Thank you!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
