Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

Never a problem with Pets Best easy submitting claims and fast response time.

I’m very disappointed with my experience with Pets Best. First, their mobile app frequently crashes or becomes unavailable, making it impossible to upload claims when needed. A claims process should be reliable and accessible, especially when dealing with urgent pet health issues. Second, almost none of my claims have been completed within the promised timeframe. Instead, I repeatedly receive messages saying, “We Apologize For The Delay.” Delays may happen occasionally, but when it becomes the norm, it reflects poor service and weak claims management. Third, for my most recent claim regarding my dog’s mouth allergy, Pets Best incorrectly grouped it together with a previous seasonal paw allergy claim. These are clearly different medical issues, and this kind of mistake feels careless and unprofessional. Finally, I followed their instructions to mail an appeal letter to the Appeals Department, but the letter was returned because the mailing information was outdated. That means their own contact information was not properly maintained, and the appeal process was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. I expected better communication, better accuracy, and a smoother claims process from a pet insurance company.

My Dot has such a hard life. She started out as a rescue. She was left by her owner to her partner. Her partner threw her out during a terrible ice storm. She had never been an outside cat and had no front claws. That's when she showed up on my deck and later in my heart! She had no vet care at all. My vet recommended I might want to get pet insurance. I selected Pets Best. I never filed a claim with them until Dottie got sick and we seem to be at the vet all the time. Without Pets Best Insurance Dot would not have been able to have the care for the last couple of years. I highly recommend Pets Best Insurance!

"What a great piece of mind Pets Best insurance has been for me. I have a Labrador Retriever, Willow that has been unfortunate to need TPLO surgery for a torn CCL. When Willow was a baby, I signed up for Pets Best and have been extremely happy with their easy claims process and fast response time for payment!
