I purchased insurance for both my kittens, I was skeptical at first but after having a dog with out health insurance and seeing how much I had paid out over the years I thought I would give it a try. Our first claim for wellness was approved quickly and it was so easy to file. Thank you for the quick service.

I am a new customer
I am a new customer. On my very first claim Pet's Best is refusing to pay for the wellness exam. The representative I spoke with claimed that because the results of the wellness exam found ear mites in my kitten that the wellness exam would not be covered. This is not detailed in any policy information. I believe this is fraudulent in nature as the company is refusing honor my legitimate claim. All over $50??? Simply ridiculous. So I see Pets Best responded, however, previously I chatted, I called and I spoke to multiple reps singing the same song that I described above. The bottom line is that they do not honor their agreement with regards to wellness care visit. If the kitten is sick they don't cover the wellness exam. No where is this described in their policy. Many, many, many other comments I see have the same problem. It's time to update the insurance policy wording . . .but I think they are intentionally misleading the public. I call that FRAUD!!!!

Great company to deal with.
I was given the terrible news that my companion Bella a black Lab mix had cancer and I was concerned about finances. Thank goodness for Trupanion. They have been helping greatly with the cost of Bella's cancer treatment. It's still costly but thank goodness I have Trupanion to help. They are also considerate and helpful when you need to talk to them. Plus submitting claims is simple and stress free. Highly recommend for the well being of your pet and your wallet.

31% monthly increase with no claims ever.
After being with them for a year with zero claims, they suddenly increased my monthly payments by 31%. “we promise not to change your rate more than once in a 12-month period.” Yeah no need when you bump it by 31% a year. I understand 3-5% a year, I get it. But 31% is ridiculous. I do not recommend being with a company that will treat you like that.

It would be nice to get reminders of renewal of pet coverage. It would also be nice if the deductible from a previous account be forward to a new account like mine. Had 2 of my cats in to the Vet with issues and both were $91.? Now I have to start over.
