We have yet to use or need pet insurance. I trust the ASPCA, which guided the policy choice.
I have not had the opportunity or need to use our new ASPCA pet health policy. I chose the "basic" plan as I am most concerned about coverage in case of a major health issue or injury. The policy seemed to cover what I believe would be helpful in a "major" situation. I trust the ASPCA which is what guided my final selection.

Emergency Surgery
I purchased insurance for my 2 kittens when they were young (1 male 1 female). My male (2.5 now) recently developed bladder stones, on a weekend, and had to be hospitalized. Pets best handled everything extremely quickly, nobody wants a $5500 bill on their credit card the weekend before thanksgiving and the reimbursement has already been issued! Pets Best is phenomenal.
