I’ve been shopping for pet insurance for months.
I’ve been shopping for pet insurance for months, quotes upon quotes. I did have one company about 6 months ago and their customer service was horrid so I canceled my policy, and I never even filed a claim. This company’s coverage was straightforward and their monthly rate was in line with their reimbursement amounts. I have not had to file a claim and honestly hope I never need to but if I do, I am confident my pup Molly will be taken care of.

Simple things are complicated
The one thing this company is good at is charging you. For the rest, expect things to be ridiculously complicated for simple stuff. Every single year at my car insurance renewal I’m unable to access any documents BUT the account statement. 3 days after the renewal of the policy I have no pink slip available thru my online file and of course no printed pink slip has been mailed to me. The same exact thing happened last year. Every time I get, oh I’m sorry it’s a computer glitch….we’re gonna send you a proof by email and mail you another copy. This lacks seriousness for an 100% online company. Also, it would be advisable to revise opening hours for phone customer service…8 to 5 is at the same time working people are actually….working ! And the delays to reach someone chatting are just insane. So to concluded, this company is good at one thing for sure : billing your credit card. Everything else is a chance

Trupanion has done very well by my pet both for coverage cost abs process of claims.
Trupanion has done very well by my pet both for coverage, cost abs process of claims. I do wish they would cover visits even at a lower percentage if needed instead of not at all which is why I gave a 9 and not a 10.
