Needed help, didn’t get it

I signed up because I needed help with Tobi’s expenses, but I didn’t get any so I don’t see the point of having an insurance if I’m going to get more in debt.

I do not know about other vet

I do not know about other vet insurance companies but Many Pets has been wonderful so far. I have three furry kids and all under the wellness and accident and disease insurance by them and the times I've submitted any claim, they've been amazingly good.

Sufficient, but can find better.

Since having PetsBest from 2021 to present, my experience has been sufficient. My premium has gone up from $60ish to $80. They've had to review at least 2-3 claims because a representative coded my items wrong, thus making me wait longer to receive funds. Additionally, a few meds my pup has been on are not covered-- which does not make sense as there are DIRECT meds to cure illnesses. Most meds are more costly due to his weight, so it defeats the purpose of having insurance at times. Customer service has been fine and are always accessible. I will more than likely switch over once I find a company that better suits my pups needs.

I had nationwide for years and as the animals got older the premium went up. Ok that’s kinda normal but the denied every claim. I paid 10 of thousand dollars to insure 5 pets. I canceled today after another run around re: another claim. There are other better insurance policies with other companies

Terrible insurance, total scam!

Terrible insurance for your pet. I bought 2 policies when I got 2 puppies. My coworker told me great things about their policies. What really sold me initially was the wellness coverage. What a mistake I made listening to him. The 1st thing is the wellness only covers vaccinations, flea, and heartworm once. After that you will be lucky to get a dime let alone an explanation as to why they don't cover basic vaccines. Recently submitted a $600 plus vet bill for annual vaccines and checkup. Only received $70...yup you read that right. The premiums cost more than the reimbursement. My renewal came in March and somehow a vet bill from April has already met my yearly reimbursement evethough they paid almost nothing out. Really shady insurance company. Don't buy anything from them.

Embrace was fantastic to work with

Embrace was fantastic to work with. I pre-qualified without an issue, sent in the receipts and they took care of it. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't question my 2 year old dog needing double TPLO surgery.

Used them for 3 years and they delivered when I needed them

I started a health insurance plan for my dog when we rescued him from the shelter 3 years ago. Fortunately, I didn't need to submit any claims to Healthy Paws for about 3 years and it seemed I was paying for something I wasn't really needing....until we had a doggie medical issue that required surgery. Filing the claim with Healthy Paws was easy. I paid the vet bill at the time of service, went home and opened the Healthy Paws app. I took a picture of the vet bill through the app and sent in the claim. Healthy Paws asked for the vet notes to be sent over to them as well, and after my vet sent over the notes, I had a check in my mailbox covering exactly what they said they would cover. When my dog went in for surgery 2 weeks later, I did the same thing with the pet hospital bill, and again within 2 weeks I got a check from them that covered everything they promised to cover. The policy saved my thousands of dollars on the surgery. There were no "fine print" issues or "got'cha" technicalities. Their coverage details were clear from day 1 and they delivered exactly as advertised when I needed them most. The health insurance is a gamble, but if you're looking for it, my experience with this company has been wonderful. They even sent out an email asking how my dog was doing about a week after his surgery. Healthy Paws came through when I needed them and filing claims with my phone and the app was simple. My dog is healing from surgery, and I would have been scrambling to find a way to pay if I didn't have this plan with Healthy Paws. If you're questioning how reliable they would be if your pet had an issue, I couldn't ask for a better and easier experience than what they just provided for me and my dog.
