You're glad you can help me take care of my pet??? Really??? YOU SUCK!!! You are a typical insurance company that profits on the people who pay their premiums on time, but truly get nothing for their money!!! You pull on the heart strings of people who choose to take care of their pets over neglecting them. Your "under the microscope" crap for claims really sucks. You need to do the work, not the people paying for your insurance. You want office notes from the vet, you get them!!! Start taking care of the people who pay their premiums. Your reimbursement policies suck! Glad your profits are up! That's more important than anything!!! I'll be seeking new Pet Insurance with another company!!!!

Better than human medical insurance
Met Life Pet has been great for us. It is far easier than our human insurance. Just take your pet to the vet and get a copy of the bill and the SOAP notes. Take a picture in the app and click submit. It usually takes 2 to 5 days for us and we get reimbursed directly into our checking account.
Timeliness of processing claims disappointing
Very pleased overall with the plan coverage I have. However, the processing of claims has been disappointing. They are very transparent that it may take up to 45 days for a claim to be processed. I appreciate that information, but the frustration comes from speaking with multiple customer service reps to provide info that never seems to be passed along to appropriate party. Even after vet's office calls and provides requested info it still does not help. I would have gladly given my experience a 5 as the claims were paid, but the processing was very disappointing. They will not allow you to speak with a Manager or Supervisor to express your concern or get further clarification.

Recently slow to make payments on illnesses
The company has always provided great service. The wellness payments are quick and almost immediate. The ill was payments are taking longer and longer for reimbursement. Simple illnesses that only have one vet engaged. Waiting a month for a payment for receipt items at regular vet. Recent response times is why I reduced my review stars from previous years.

Claims experience
Our dog came down with pneumonia and required a 5 day hospital stay. The bill was significant to say the least. I had never had a claim before and was very certain that I would have difficulty with the process. I was wrong. The claims process was easy and payment was prompt and in agreement with the specifics of the insurance. We were very happy and also very relieved that part of this expense was covered and that our dog made a full recovery. Thank you embrace.

Great customer support
I have been with this company for at least 10 years. The customer service is wonderful. They are very attentive and supportive to the needs of your pets. They let you know the documentation that is needed. My current dog has had great coverage with the insurance as he had a couple visits to an emergency vet over a weekend but I am totally satisfied.
