Amazing Support
Both Trupanion and VCA hospital in Aurora, IL helped us through one of the most difficult times for our family when our puppy unexpectedly became sick. The ease of communicating with Trupanion was amazing and the seamlessness between insurance and the hospital was so helpful. I've never felt so supported before and cannot thank everyone enough for their help in healing our Zoey and taking amazing care of her. We wouldn't have been able to help her without Trupanion or the VCA hospital.

Reject first, raise rates second.
Trupanion will find every possible way to reject your claim. Once they have accomplished that they will wait a few months and raise your premiums by 50% or more. There are much better options out there, do some research and find a better company.

They don’t do as promised
They don’t do as promised. They delayed processing claims. Sent in claims in March and April. They still were not processed in August. They didn’t process the claims until I asked to cancel and threatened Better Business Bureau complaint. Cancelling was a hassle to. It took them 3 days to process my request to cancel!

Very disappointed with this company
Very disappointed with this company. Submitted a claim for a ruptured anal gland and dental work. Pretty basic. On their website it says claims take about 2 weeks. We are going well over 30 days now. I get a letter that about an allergy shot my dog had and how a pre existing condition. I just read another review about them getting the same letter!! Has nothing to do with his surgery. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Im convinced they will find any excuses not to pay a claim.

Embrace says it's a 30 day review period. It's not. Took at least 60 days. They also had wrong diagnosis on the review. Really hard to get through on phone. I paid one year in full. Asked for money back and only received partial return of money. They said I was insured during that time but policy says not insured until review is completed in 30 days. Took 60 days, no claims made, no insurance and only partial return. They are shady.

I just applied. Have not had to use it yet so cannot comment on any experience with claims. The sign up was easy. Hope when I do have to submit a claim, it will be just as easy!
