Was able to make same day appt with my vet for unwell doggy who had back pain and decreased mobility. The vet had my Trupanion info on file and. Submitted all claims etc directly to insurer. As this was my first time using my pet insurance I was a little concerned re: coverage, submissions, etc, plus worried about pet. Thought it was going to be a hassle. Turned out to be intervertrebal disc disease. After X-rays, bloodwork, etc. following treatment, pet vastly improved and on bed rest for next 2 Weeks. Trupanion paid then and there, that day their portion of the claim and I didn’t have to do a thing! So impressed with seamless and easy transaction. They kept me in constant communication. Very happy with both vet and Trupanion..

Lack of communication
I asked for estimated coverage twice and didn’t get answer. Called no answer. Didn’t know wellness was going to be used for coverage. Kind of ridiculous that cleaning teeth isn’t covered as health expense since her gums were swollen.
