Many more cost-effective options available

Pros -They have nice customer service -Unlimited payouts Cons -High prices due to unlimited payouts -Will try to blame everything on pre-existing conditions like allergies other injuries etc -Extremely frequent rate increases - twice a year? -They are cheap when you first sign up and then they raise the price dramatically over the years, which limits your ability to get a more cost-effective pet insurance option as your pet has aged by the time you realize trupanion jacks up their prices dramatically

Ask for Justin Erwin if you need help!

Fetch made a mistake with a claim of mine (no big deal, it happens) but then they struggled to clear it up. When I finally talked to a live person, Justin Erwin was able to get everything sorted out in less than 24 hours. Because of his excellent communication and fantastic customer service, I will continue to do business with the company. Thank you, Justin!

Do not insure with FIGO - Bad show of good faith.

I have purchased an insurance policy for my cat since 2019. In 2020, my cat was not feeling well. I brought him in to our local vet for a check up. Check ups were not covered in my policy at that time. The doctor noted that my cat was constipated, and recommended a science diet recipe. Two weeks ago I had to take my cat to emergency care because he had not eaten, urinated or had a bowel movement in 24 hours. I did not treat my cat at emergency care, he was given subcutaneous fluids; and since he was not in crisis, he was released without a diagnosis or prescription. The next morning I took my cat to our current vet. He was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection for which he was given antibiotics. …. BUT because my previous vet in 2019 gave my cat a laxative, my claims were denied. The constipation was one of the symptoms for his most recent treatment NOT the condition, but even so my claims were denied. I have filed two claims (most recent emergency care and follow up) in the last five years, only to be denied because my cat had been constipated five years ago. This is an egregious breech of contract. The pact is that I pay my insurance premium every month, so should my cat become ill, I can provide my four-legged family member the medical care he requires, even if it’s thousands of dollars. Denying the claim is a poor showing of the good faith between client and insurer. I whole heartedly do NOT recommend FIGO; and once my appeal is closed, I will no longer hold a policy with them.

Concerned for the Future of PetPartners

I would have given PetPartners 10 stars a few months ago but it would seem they are making some changes that make me a lot less excited to tell my friends to get a policy. They no longer cover illness for dogs insured after 5yrs of age. They no longer let you increase coverage should the need arise or should you be able to afford better coverage. Who knows what other changes have been made. I’m extremely disappointed though because PetPartners was a standout among other heartless pet insurance companies and it seems they are moving towards joining the pack. What I will say is how thankful I was to have a policy when my dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma. That said, when I put her SupportCare claim in after she passed they tried to charge me a coinsurance- this does not apply on these claims. It was easily addressed via email but frustrating to deal with while grieving the loss of my sweet girl. Both of my dogs policies also increased in cost upon renewal. Understandable with our girl with lymphoma, treatments are expensive; but for our other dog, if I put in his same details in the quote tool or act like I am going to make a change in the online portal it shows that his monthly should be less. I feel like I have been penalized for using their insurance. All that to say, I’m not sure if there is a more customizable/better option on the market currently but I sure hope they don’t continue making negative changes. I am almost feeling guilty for all of the people who signed up based on my positive reviews because it was based on something that no longer exists.

Client for 9 yrs- waste of so much money

I had Petplan, now Fetch since 2015 for 1 dog and then in 2019 I added my 2nd dog. I have paid so much over the years for their plans yet they are horrible and I have been denied reimbursement for things I should have been reimbursed for. I finally had it and cancelled it all together last week after they denied my claim for a wellness visit to the vet, and they said I didn’t have wellness coverage, even though I added wellness coverage in November, paid for it, and for no reason whatsoever, they took upon themselves to remove the coverage when I updated my mailing address in December. In 9 years the only person/representative that has ever been honest and treated me like I mattered was Gerrone Newsome. They need more people working for them like Gerrone, he actually took the time to understand what was going on and do what he could to help.

I am so glad that I enrolled my boys…

I am so glad that I enrolled my boys with Pets Best this past year. Had I know how easy the process is, and how willing and kind the representatives have all been… I’d have done it years ago. They’re thorough, responsive and genuinely seem to want to help us. I never felt like a burden and got all the details necessary to best care for my pet
