I signed up for pet insurance with Prudent Pet via telephone. My own insurance agent was very helpful and when several questions couldn't be answered by her, she asked my permission to have a customer service representative from Prudent Pet contact me in order for my concerns to be fully addressed. I was quite pleased to have had Rebecca from Prudent give me that call back. She was thorough in answering all my questions and it was truly a pleasure to have had that interaction with her. I felt confident that I had chosen the right company and signed up for the insurance.

Better hope your pet doesn't get sick "too early"
Cheap pet insurance that I'm very excited to have for my two kitties! Less than 30 dollars a month for both! My main complaint is the 14-day waiting period after you pay for coverage. My coverage says it began on April 14th, but I didn't realize that there was a waiting period before coverage ACTUALLY began. It might be my fault for not realizing it sooner, but I couldn't find any info on it until I went to submit the claim. My cat's policy is listed as active with coverage beginning April 14th. One of my cats got sick and had to go to the vet on the 26th, but surprise! I'm not actually covered until April 28th. So better hope one of your pets doesn't get sick during those two weeks or you'll be out $450 on a vet bill and it won't even apply to your deductible. When I called to ask a representative about this, I was told that because he got sick during the waiting period, it's considered a "pre-existing condition" even though it is not actually. Very disappointed, so hopefully this comes in handy later.

my dog had a lymph node that swelled up…
my dog had a lymph node that swelled up due to infection in the body (a natural response when you are sick) and they claimed it was a pre-existing condition. i had the vet write a dispute to let them know this was not the case that the swelling was not related to anything prior, and they still denied the claim. now if his lymph swells again which naturally it may whatever it is in response to they wont cover. Its a scam

So glad I got this insurance!
I submitted 2 claims for my exotic shorthair cat. Both were approved in timely manner and for the amount I expected. Pets Best insurance gives me such peace of mind, knowing that I can provide whatever veterinary care is needed for my 3 cats. I highly recommend this insurance!
