Trupanion reliably comes through
I don't normally write reviews. But Trupanion has been so consistent and reliable about covering my cat that it deserves people to hear about it. I insured my cat as a kitten 7 years ago. It turned out that the lovely kitten I had was going to be subject to several chronic health problems. For the first time in my life I'm on a first name basis with my vet because I see her so often. My cat actually has three vets: his ordinary vet and two specialists. I've lost count of all the ultrasounds, xrays, etc that he's had. Trupanion has paid it's share of every single one. The one and only time they quibbled was when we accidentally claimed for the same procedure twice. And the customer service sorting that out was extraordinary. Submitting claims is straightforward. Approved claims deposit straight into my bank account in a matter of days consistently every time. I don't have a single complaint.

Very slow in paying claims
The whole purpose for insurance is that you won't be put into a financial bind when tragedy strikes. We had to front $5,000 for a surgery. We are now three weeks post-op and our claim has yet to be processed. I called them two weeks post-op and all they did was apologize for the delay. Apologies do not pay the bills.

Best decision ever!
I am so happy that l decided to get insurance on my sweet fur-baby Daisy! And SPOT has been a terrific choice! The coverage has been great and the hardest part of the paper work has been to ask for an itemized statement from the vet. You can do the paper work from your phone and get direct deposit of your check. There may be some years that what we pay in is more than what we get back but the peace of mind when your pup eats a twister seal😳 or whose face swells up and has vomiting and diarrhea after a bee sting 🥺 and you dont have to WORRY about going to the vet is worth the other years! We love SPOT!!! ❤❤❤
