Rates go UP as your pet gets older
We did like the coverage of Trupanion when we first hired them to cover the insurance for our dog at 2 years old. The rates were better and coverage was more than others we researched. Our dog is now 13 years old and the coverage has just been increased another 10 dollars per month. The reasoning I was presented is that the price of vet bills has increased in my area. That is very vague. I would suggest you look carefully into long term coverages, as once you cover your pet and try for another carrier later on, the monthly charge is astronomical. We are not happy with the unnecessary rate increases, especially as our dog is never sick.

Easy to submit claims and quickly received refund checks on 7 claims that were covered. Vet care adds up quickly with 4 cats & 2 dogs. wish i had gotten this coverage earlier for rescue dog that had treatment for heartworm.

Wonderful in every way - 5000 stars if I could!
Having been part of the Embrace customer family for 2 years, I can't say enough about them and how amazing they have been and continue to be. We signed up our puppy when she was about 5 months old. Now that our girl is 2.5 years old, last summer she suffered a CCL injury which required TPLO surgery. This week, our "clumsy turtle" of a heeler mix is due for another TPLO surgery on her opposite leg. Today we had an x-ray series done for the ortho surgeon/specialist to make sure surgery is still medically necessary and also get those pre surgery meds. Submitting claims are super easy. Of note, we went through the preauthorization process (which I strongly recommend!!) to ensure everything goes smoothly. It was easy to do, and gives me one less thing to worry about as our sweet girl recovers :) Thank to all the folks at on the Embrace team for helping make our lives a little easier. We appreciate you so much!!!

Not very happy with there service
Not very happy with there communication. Also not happy that I have to wait for a claim to be processed in about two month span. When they process claim they put claims together for well care and illness to process and apply the items wrong. This leads to lower amounts to pay out to customers. Also not happy with some of the customer care agents that have a bad Attitude.

It took forever and even though I had a payment plan with the vet, they refused to process the claim until the payment plan was paid off. Ridiculous. Even when you don't have payment plans they take forever to process your claims and often have to fight them on coverage.
