Pets Best - Amazing Company
As my cats were aging I decided to invest in a pet insurance policy about 5 years ago, and chose Pets Best because of their affiliation with Progressive, which is where I bundle the rest of my insurance. I didn't really use it much at all in the first several years, but as they both got older they both developed chronic diseases - one hyperthyroid and one kidney disease. Both of them towards the end of their lives required significant veterinary care and both on different occasions required overnight hospitalization, which was very expensive. I ended up paying out nearly 10k in the last year of both of their lives for vet bills, without having used this insurance and not really knowing how much was going to be reimbursed, or how difficult it was going to be to get reimbursement, and if I would be stuck in lengthy claims processes with pushback. I was absolutely shocked at how easily and smoothly the process went. There was no pushback on any of the expenses, all that was necessary for a claim was to attach an invoice, and within a couple of weeks I got an explanation of benefits and a direct deposit into my bank account. I was so grateful that this process didn't add to the difficulty of the situation. And even more than that, when both of my cats eventually passed away at the age of 18, when I submitted the claim for their end of life care, they quickly paid it out, responded directly to me personally with a message of care and condolences, and proactively cancelled my account and reimbursed me for the time I had already paid after they had passed without me even having to ask or do anything myself. I was very touched that beyond an easy process, they genuinely seemed to care about me and the loss of my boys, and made direct efforts to have it be as easy on my as they could. I cannot recommend this company enough!

My chihuahua had a small mass near one of her nipples that had to be removed and sent for a biopsy. Embrace processed the claim very quickly and when I indicated that needed the reimbursement quickly, I received my reimbursement the same day, exactly 1 week after the surgery.

Saved my cat by leaning forward with a “quick pre approval” which allowed us to say yes to expensive surgery for removing a blockage. Everyone I talked with on the phone was shockingly friendly, motivated, and well spoken. I actually felt taken care of. Wish my personal medical care was this satisfying! (im in the military) thank you Embrace, and thank you to the agents who helped is get our cats medical care on time!

Embrace is the best
Embrace is the best. Our poor guy has literally been sick almost every month. Although Embrace does not cover his pre exisiting stuff, our seeet boy has been covered with everything else. This company is fair and has amazing customer service. If it was not for them, we would be in such debt! Thanks Embrace!

MetLife Pet Insurance is a RIPOFF
MetLife looks for anything to deny claims. They denied a claim based on a pre-existing condition of food allergies, when my dog did not have nor was she diagnosed with food allergies. It was a differential diagnosis, the vet was ruling it out. When I appealed this, they said they were denying it for the pre-existing condition of diarrhea. Seriously?? Because the vet's notes said that I had reported diarrhea before the insurance went into effect, it was a preexisting condition. GSDs get diarrhea for various reasons, one of which is stress - which my dog was stressed because she was a rescue that I just adopted. They had denied every single claim except for one, which was a fecal test. MetLife Pet Insurance is a complete ripoff and I would encourage anyone to look elsewhere. I had paid for a full year so I asked for 8 months returned to me. They said it would take 10-15 business days to get a refund, and the amount would depend on the billing department. I would not doubt it if they continued to rip me off. They are a scam!

I can tell you that I think they're one of the best pet insurance companies out there. They have been fantastic. They have covered all of his medications. They is wellness and everything else so professionally they I have not had to argue about one single thing. They are so thorough and thoughtful I just recently lost my Mikey and we're still not done with the claims okay but they have been very quick on doing everything I would definitely recommend them and I definitely give them five stars you want me to put down a date? A certain date? I cannot. They have been wonderful for the past 8 years that I have had them so I have to leave that blank down there. I don't know what else to do. I could write today's date if that will help oh I forgot to even tell you how they covered all of his surgeries. He had many and his radiation treatments and everything else
