I decided to get pet insurance for my 2 dogs, pretty much for possible catastrophic events. My dog, Bella became ill a d was peeing blood, of course after hours so I took her to Urgent Care vet after hours. Treated for UTI and followed up with my regular vet the next week. I filed claim for these visits and was denied because the needed more records uploaded. I did that, then after a very long time was denied again because they said UTI was a preexisting condition. Bella has never had a UTI in her 4 year old life. I filed an appeal and didn't hear anything for 17 days so I called to check on it and never got to talk to a person so I called and canceled both policies. This insurance appears to be a scam, as they gladly took my money to pay for it but refused to honor the policy, coming up with bogus reasons not to pay. I have decided to take the money I pay for premiums and create an emergency fund for my dogs.

Easiest system for submitting claims
I work in insurance and this has to be one of the easiest, if not easiest, means for submitting an insurance claim. Everything is self-explanatory, easy to understand, and I love being able to just drop the invoice into the claim form.

Amazing Pet Insurance
Having Healthy Paws insurance has been a life saver and has saved me probably over $20k in vet bills. My dog has dealt with skin allergy issues, and had 3 surgeries on her ACLs and everything was covered and reimbursed within a day or two. Super easy to submit claims. Highly recommended.

Trupanion is a company of their word
My pup passed away on June 20. From the beginning of her life until the end, Trupanion was absolutely essential as she had persistent skin allergies, UTIs, eye and ear issues, and finally, pneumonia—from which she ultimately died of complications. Trupanion never let us down and I credit her long (albeit not long enough for me) life to them. They absolutely followed through on what they said they would do and never once did anything shady to save themselves money. I don’t think I can get another dog again for a while—my dog was my baby and my heart is broken—but when I do, Trupanion will be the first call I make. I am grateful to them for helping me keep Henrietta alive, healthy, and thriving for her little life with me.
