We have had Trupanion since 2022 false and deceptive advertising!
We have had Trupanion since 2022, never made a claim. We paid $74 per mo for our cat and $125 per no for our 8 yr old dog. No claims, ever. Now we just received a renewal notice starting 2024 for a shocking increase, from $74 for cat, to $264 per mo!!! Dog from $125 to $370 per mo!!!! Crazy!!!we are so upset and disappointed and feel the company puts out false advertising about not increasing rates due to a pets age. They specifically advertise on their website that they promise “Our pricing promise to you All pets deserve high-quality health coverage for life, at a fair price without surprises — that's our commitment” based upon a 260 % increase, for no other reason except the pet is getting older, (no claims made) this is in fact a really rude “surprise” and this company’s advertised “commitments” are just flat out false and deceptive advertising! We chose this company solely due and in reliance of its stated commitments to us that they would provide coverage for life at a fair price. What they actually do in practice is just the opposite. They should not be allowed to attract new customers using false advertising and profit from its devious tactics
