HEALTHY PAWS DECEIVING CONTRACT

healthy paws is not to be trusted They accepted to insure our super healthy dog 2 years ago. They requested health docu, ments that we submitted and we have paid them ever since. We never filed a claim until today because our dog had a fox tail accident. Suddenly they don't know if our dog is healthy and they need more medical records that they never mentioned before, so basically they just take your money for years and then once you have a problem make it impossible to get a reinbursment. You will only find out how dishonest and deceiving this health insurance is when you file your first claim! Even if your dog is super healthy and it is 100% obvious the problem was just an accident. Dont fall for this scam. I REGRET having this insurance!

Marcela, As per the policy we do require full medical records for all enrolled pets in order to process claims. Once full records are received (typically we ask for them when you file your first few claims) we will keep them on file for future claims processing and you will never have to submit full records again. In the future, if we do need clarification for a specific claim, we may simply request the date of service exam notes for that visit. We appreciate your efforts in providing those records. Your recent claim was covered in its entirety with the exception of the exam fee, which are excluded by your plan. Covered items were applied towards your chosen deductible. As with any plan that has an annual deductible, that must be satisfied before any reimbursements can occur. The Healthy Paws Team

Embrace was excellent regarding my dogs recent visit to an emergency clinic. They processed the claim within a week. I will continue to use Embrace for my pet insurance needs in the future. I have 2 small dogs

Haven't had to use the insurance yet

Haven't had to use the insurance yet, but the sign-up process was fairly straightforward. It seems that they have a few things to figure out, technical-wise. ie. The Amazon gift card email I got was blank and I had to phone in to get the code and then I had to call customer service to find where I could get a referral link for a friend. Really hoping they come thru in the event my cats get injured...

Denied my first claim in preventative…

Denied my first claim in preventative care! 😡 Beware, buying a platinum plan with instant coverage does not mean instant 👎🏽 RESPONSE: I talked to your “customer service” twice and they did nothing. If you cared, you’ll cover my claim. Took my dog for a well check. Purchased the insurance that morning based off of of an ad on my vets website. My claim was denied because it wasn’t a few hours later the next day. RIDICULOUS.

BEWARE - 294% Premium Increase over 7 years!

The coverage and reimbursement are standard and no complaints there. My biggest complaint is the outrageous rate increase each year. Here's my yearly plan cost from 2016 through 2023: $420.95, $468.92, $538.95, $732.53, $842.53, $1,002.36, $1,172.03, $1,659.00. I have submitted a total of 13 claims over 7 years and (luckily) haven't submitted a claim since 2019. I'm not sure how it is legal to have a premium increase of 294% over 7 years! BEWARE!!
