They really only cover major trips to the hospital other basic stuff like fleas and ticks have no coverage - even if you are giving your pet the preventative medicine. Outside of catastrophic events, there's not a lot of bang for your buck.

Having used a competitors insurance policy for my previous dog, I am breathing a sign of relief. Payment took about a month, but considering the amount of the claim, it is understandable. Your company is excellent!

Dropped after 8 years of loyalty
I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for 5 different pets since 2016. Every year they have raised my premium on all of my pets policies, some even going up over 100% a year. I have kept paying it and not complained because if anything happens to my pets I will have peace of mind and be able to do everything in my power to take care of them. I have never missed a payment on any policy. I work in veterinary medicine and have sung Nationwides praises to clients. Today I got a letter that the Whole Pet with Wellness plan that I've had for years is no longer profitable for them and they are not renewing my pets policies after this period expires. The thing about pet insurance that makes this so unfair is that no pet insurance covers pre-existing conditions, so any medical issue they have had their whole lives will not be covered under any new insurance plan they get. I have done the right thing by my pets for years and years only to have the rug pulled out from under me by a multi million dollar company. This is why people don't trust pet insurance. I don't know what the answer is but this isn't it. I will never recommend Nationwide to anyone ever again.

Carmen was AMAZING
I called the help line and was immediately answered, no wait. Carmen was really kind and helpful. She listened to my problem, she asked leading questions to get to the root of my issue. She then helped me fix the problem really quickly and efficiently. Carmen was AMAZING. Loved speaking with her.

Not worth the price
Have had this insurance for a couple years and had to use it for the first time this year. Had a procedure pre-certified and approved and then rejected after the procedure. Then a stomach bug medication that should have been covered was rejected for being a “wellness medication” even though it was for an active illness. The insurance cost has gone up significantly every year so it’s no longer worth it for our family

First Claim Experience
This was my very first claim through Embrace Pet Insurance. Their process was clear on how to get medical information to them. Their status updates were also great.

I bought both the illness/injury and…
I bought both the illness/injury and wellness coverage. The cost is $76 a month. So far, very little has been covered. The initial wellness visit was about $300, and Fetch reimbursed about $100. I had to go back to the vet for a second round of vaccinations, and that $140 was not covered at all. With this lack of coverage, I did some research on Fetch and found many unhappy customers. I will try another insurance.
