Fast, easy and transparent!
Submitting a claim through the app was very easy and fast! Being able to take a photo of the documents instead of needing a scanner was super convenient. Being able to track the process made me confident that my claim was being taken care of, and the reimbursement was fast!

I feel like I have to correct my…
I feel like I have to correct my previous review for ASPCA. I gave them a review of 3 stars and complained about the delay in reimbursement. I did the review before I called them - which I should have done in reverse. One simple phone call straightened everything out. Next time, I will call first.

Paying your car insurance early is WRONG…
I paid for my insurance prior to the date when it was due because I do not have a reliable employer to pay me on my actual payday. As a result, they penalize me for missed payments, even though my payments were rendered to them before the actual due date. They said they would correct it in the system when I called and it would go back to normal however, it did not do that. If you’re a person who has a crappy employer and as a result you pay things earlier than you should. Sonnet insurance is not for you. Considering that the Ontario standard is three missed payments. They should be taking into consideration people who pay early and not penalizing them because it didn’t register in their system early. That’s not even ethical.

Spot makes it easy
I switched to Spot this year and very glad I did. My dog (3.5 y/o) had had recent health issues and Spot had made it easy to submit claims. Process if quick and information shared throughout were clear.

Rescued or Adopted may Fail Pre-X Review
I cancelled my policy with no claims filed after the Claims Department set up a non filed claim for dental after obtaining invoice from Vet. For Rescued Adopted Pets the Claims Dept. will Deny a claim for which there is no additional information available. For all Pet policies be sure to understand the Pre-X coverage and how it is administered. It is not always stated in the Policy!

I really wanted to give a 5 star…
I really wanted to give a 5 star review, but I just can't. Signing up for the insurance for our 3 dogs was easy - fill out the questions and pay the fee. However, what isn't easy is getting reimbursed for vet visits and treatments. ASPCA says they need records for our dogs. Our vet says that everything has been sent. It's bad enough to have a sick dog. All we care about is getting them better. But thinking that having ASPCA insurance was going to 'ease the pain' of the bills so far isn't quite what we thought it would be.
