Well only have had the coverage for a short period of time we went to the vet and had an exam done and shot of rabies shot and I have yet to one receive the benefit information and I did submit a claim that was over the deductible and I have not heard back regarding that claim whether a payment or a denial or anything otherwise I would give it more stars

Insurance is only as good as their willingness to pay out -- and you never really know if they are going to pay out until after you sign up and make a claim. I've now had to make two claims with Pets Best and in both cases, they paid out exactly what was promised. I wish their processing went a little faster (they sent an email apologizing for the time it took proactively) but once a claim was authorized, they paid via ACH fairly quickly. I picked them because they were the most competitive for a "higher value" policy (unlimited annual coverage, $500 deductible, 90% coverage over deductible, and small adder to cover diagnostic fees). I picked this because I can always downgrade coverage in the future (but you can never go the other way) My only concern is I have no idea how much the renewal will cost; I'll find that out in 6 months or so.

Highly Recommend

I never expected to need pet insurance for my young dog, but decided to take it out anyway. ASPCA Pet Insurance has been a blessing to us. My dog has had to use it multiple times and ASPCA is an awesome company to use. They process the claims quickly and never questioned any of the claims submitted. If you are looking for pet insurance, I highly recommend them.

Great company

Great company, easy to work with. Only downside it their operating hours, would be better if they were more aware of western time zones.

Good as long as you don't use it

Good if you don't use it... Company was great initially (have had for 4 years), but downgraded my coverage claiming that they paid out more than the premiums they took in. I did the math- that isn't true. Also, my friend has the exact same dog (littermates) with very similar claims and she was given options that were different from me. They can't get the story straight. I'm sure if I have any future claims, they will push me further to drop the coverage. So good company and good insurance as long as you don't have a significant claim - then you will be downgraded or pushed to drop coverage. They also don't have a consistent message - no way to explain why one customer is told one thing and another told something completely different. I was actually told on the phone that my coverage was downgraded because my pet didn't make them enough money- premiums taken in were less than claims paid out (which again isn't actually true).

Avoid! Policies find every loophole to deny…

Policies find every loophole to deny claims. Clinical and medical examination requirements are not made clear and buried in fine print end up in resulting “pre-existing conditions” to never be covered.
