This experience began badly
This experience began badly, but eventually evened out. Perhaps I am unrealistic to think insurance people should display positive attitudes when dealing with customers who are under stress due to their pet's illness, but will try for balance regardless.

Nothing covered …
One year and none of the two pets charges covered by this insurance. Even when one had a broken nail and part of the toe removed.

Saving Romeo
My Chihuahua Romeo was hit by a car. I rushed him to my vet and then had to rush him to an emergency hospital. Thank God he was going to make it. He is doing great and the cost was expensive although I would pay any amount to save my Romeo. So having Fetch made the cost easy to handle. They reimbursed my claim in a timely manner. And answered all my questions and calls professionally, and with compassion. It was a great relief after such a traumatic situation. I highly recommend them as your pet insurance. They are mine and I’m grateful to have them.

Great Customer Service
I would have rated 4.8 if possible only because I had to call to find out why my claim was taking so long to be approved since I had done a pre-approval....BUT, I am more than satisfied with everything else. When I have called the customer service has been outstanding. First time I called I was told how to submit for a pre-approval (the vet had given me different options on how to procedure and money was an issue and of course I wanted to do what was best for Nikki). The pre-approval process was quick and easy and made it much easier to decide on the best route of care. The second call was due to it having been over 2 weeks since submitting the claim without any word back plus at Nikki's follow up visit a problem was found that had to be addressed and I was unsure how to submit a claim for it since it was part of the first claim. She was great, told me exactly what to do and also expedited both claims. I got word back of approval and payment the same day.

Everything that was submitted all year…
Everything that was submitted all year long was denied and excluded from then on as pre-existing. However, nothing ever happened before our first policy. They are masters of twisting what the doctor's note says into something not accurate anything to get out of any reimbursements. So not covering Sickness, injury, or repercussions of tick bites, I could go on but I trusted USAA with the pet insurance company but no longer. Very sad to let us down like this. So 2 years we have paid for the best policy and the most expensive but not one reimbursement, but now everything is excluded and I won't even be able to get these things covered in the future such as the injury/accident is being called a genetic issue even with the prior exams that there is no genetic issues. Just additional information our vets has reviewed your response emails and is also appalled by the twisting of her notes and your company inferring the puppy had pre existing issues so you could deny the claims. So your response here of quoting the policy is not accurate of what you did to all the claims submitted.
