Great insurance for my fur baby!! A very easy and smooth process to put claims through. It takes only a few minutes to process and my vet submits the claim.

Overall the claims experience was very positive and as expected. I uploaded a receipt that did not show all the details and ran into some minor issues. When trying to add new documents to the claim there were a couple of glitches with the mobile app. I made a call to customer service and they were able to solve the problems with the paperwork. The Customer service representative was great. She even asked about my puppy to see how he was doing and processed the claim I was having trouble with. Having this pet insurance when an unexpected bills happen from the vet turned out to be a very good choice for me.

Absolutely terrible experience—they would rather accuse you of fraud than do basic math
I’ve been a great member for 2 years and have always paid my premiums on time, but the moment I submitted a major claim, they completely failed me. I submitted an authentic, direct invoice from my vet. Because the bill had split charges—an initial charge and an additional charge from the same visit making up the rest of the total—Spot's claims department lazily called the vet, only verified the initial amount, and immediately slapped a "Determination of Fraud" on my account and canceled my policy. They didn't even bother to look at the final, itemized ledger or reconcile the total amount. Instead of doing a basic billing reconciliation, their immediate default is to call their paying customers liars. I have provided the complete ledger and bank statements proving the full cleared payment. I will be taking my business to an insurance company that actually values its customers and handles claims with basic competency. Save yourself the stress and the insulting accusations. Avoid Spot Pet Insurance at all costs.
