First off this is a good insurance if you have a deep pocketbook. Almost every year the rates go up. This year was $26.00 a month increase. Now I pay $106.00 a month for one dog. Once you submit a claim and your dog has a medical problem you can’t switch insurances as it will be a pre-existing condition. They have you locked in and there seems to be no control how much they increase your rate. I advise you to read lots of reviews and shop around. I chose another pet insurance for the dog we adopted after this one.

I’ve had healthy paws for 8 years and have never been disappointed..so grateful for the coverage as well as the quick turnaround times…payment was sent so fast...they’ve covered her surgeries at 90% without any question..I’ll always have pet Insurance for peace of mind for my pups..

Healthy Paws was great at first
Healthy Paws was great at first. I've used them for about 9.5 years. Initially, I had a $250 deductible and 90% reimbursement for meds, surgeries, & x-rays (routine vaccinations and the actual vet costs were excluded ).Each year monthly premiums increased. This year not only did my premiums increase but my deductible doubled to $500 & now my dogs are only covered 70% rather than the 90% when I took out the policy. It's just like every insurance company & they've got me over a barrel. No other company will insure 2 aging dogs.
