claim experience
If I could give Figo pet insurance a 0, I would. The entire experience was maddening and I would not recommend them. On two different instances with my puppy, they denied emergency claims after making me call the veterinary hospital to get more notes from the vets that treated her. The vets also provided letters substantiating the visit was warranted and if not seen my puppy. may have died, but the claims were still denied. They knit pick through the vets notes and try to find something that they can use to deny your claim and they did this on both claims I filed. I have since switched to another pet insurance and have had no issues so obviously Figo does not want to help their customers, but only make money on premiums and then give you nothing in return. I strongly do not recommend this company.

Claim experience
If you are looking for a pet insurance that offers great communication and the ease of filing a claim then Pets Best is a great choice. They made the process so easy and communicated with me regarding any delays in the claim process. They will reach out to your vet to get additional information if needed to process your claim as well. It is upsetting enough when your pet is ill and knowing that you will not have to fight with an insurance company to get your claim processed provides a bit of comfort in an otherwise stressful situation, I highly recommend Pets Best!!

Losing Blue
It was unfortunate that I had to contact Pets Best. I lost my cat two weeks prior contacting them to let them know that I needed to take him off the policy. The young lady that was helping me was very polite very sympathetic, and even though I could’ve left him on the policy and continue paying for his insurance, just so it was another piece of Him that I didn’t have to let go. I chose this to start my closure on losing him.

A Good Pet Insurance Company
Every time I called Trupanion, all the representatives have been kind, attentive and helpful. Throughout Happy’s diagnosis and treatment, Trupanion has been quite diligent in processing the claims.Once I submitted my claim, I right away get a text from them, stating that they have received it and in a matter of a day or two the money is in my account! I’m very pleased with how they have handled the claims I’ve submitted, as well as all the representatives I’ve spoken to.

Policy Wrongfully Cancelled Without Notice.
My only issue with the insurance is that you get an email stating that your pets policy has been cancelled without your knowledge. When you actually speak with an agent and was told that the co-owner cancelled it, and they have every right to do so. Well, I asked my husband and told me that he didn't. First off he isn't computer literate, he has me go over his emails with him and has me delete, or respond to the emails for him. Secondly, he never received an email from ASPCA regarding the policy. Thirdly, I'm the one who pays the monthly premiums. Last but not least, I never added him has co-owner on the policy. The agent I spoke with assured me that she put in a reinstatement, effective November 8, 2024. She swore to me, assured me that all has been taken care of and that there will not be a problem. Low and behold, ASPCA is advising me that I would have to reapply after being with them for over five years with my current pet, and an additional 5/6 years with my previous pet.

Horrible experience all around
Horrible experience all around as a USAA member. They related my dog’s injury playing as a preexisting condition, when she actually needed help with an unrelated condition, they denied our claim. The vet even defined that it was not related to a preexisting condition in the notes. Notes that the adjusters force you to get, they don’t even do their jobs. The claims adjuster paid the vet’s notes no heed and denied us. Thankfully it is easy to cancel your policy with them. I would recommend others do the same if they encounter this unprofessional/unethical practice. They won’t be getting any more of my money. Do better. Updated 11 Nov 24 after Embrace made their cut and paste apology. I know what a preexisting condition is so please don’t freakin gaslight me. Do what you so you are going to do and be thankful you’re not worth the time or effort of being taken to court.
