MetLife Pet Insurance Is Okay
MetLife Pet Insurance was an okay option for my two dogs. My monthly premium went up by $70/month, and I ended up switching to a new provider. In terms of claims, sometimes it was a frustrating waiting game. I either had to follow up with my claim refund status multiple times, or in one instance, my claim refund was accidentally doubled due to an error on MetLife’s end. It’s been a month now, and I’m still waiting to get that cleared up. Nothing MetLife does is fast. On a positive note, the customer service is awesome. It’s easy to get ahold of someone, and the service was helpful every time. Overall, MetLife was a good option for me in the beginning, but as time went on, I realized better options for my pets are out there.

Trupanion is great.
Our 8 month old lab puppy had to spend 2 nights in the hospital. Without Trupanion I don't know how we would have paid for her stay and the medical procedures that were done. Trupanion paid the hospital directly. It was one less worry during a stressful time. I'm very happy with Trupanion and tell everyone that if you're considering getting pet insurance to do it.

4 dogs in my family have been insured…
4 dogs in my family have been insured with Trupanion their entire lives and my family has felt fortunate to have the coverage. 2 of our dogs had cancer and passed this year. The other two currently both have medical problems and our Trupanion insurance has helped us to pay the expenses of getting them back to good health. Most recently I had to have my Golden Doodles spleen removed due to a mass. The amount paid by my Trupanion policy was phenomenal. It has made the operation and recovery so much less stressful to both me and my dog. I recommend Trupanion to every dog owner I know.
