My claim was handled quickly and efficiently, with no red tape at all.
My baby (Buckie) came home with a torn ACL. Someone recommended that he go to SAGE which is also is a specialty shop here in our area . I looked up the reviews and found Monterey peninsula five stars all the way across the board with nothing but excellent reviews. My sister took her dog there with the same TPOL surgery and swore by it. It was a long haul for me from San Jose because I don’t commute much but I’ll tell you what everybody there made me 100% sure it was the right place, that it was meant to be. Dr. Hermann iis an incredibly knowledgeable and very warm doctor there, Kirsten must be the “go to girl”/receptionist. Excellent personality! Very very warm crew and staff for your animals. Has been an exceptional experience so far. I get my baby back tomorrow, now the real work starts ... NO BALL! Haha
My 5 month old puppy had a UTI. Completely resolved. I suspected a UTI in the now 8 month only pup and took him in. They denied the claim and now UTI’s are a “pre-existing condition” and not covered for the life of the pet (even though the test was negative).
Just like any insurance company, they will find reason not to pay. If my boy has ANY issues related to his penis now, they will say it was obviously a pre-existing condition. He also had a ripped claw so I’m sure paw issues are now not covered. I will be switching providers as soon as the other plan opens. Rip off!
