Actually the best.
We became a Pets Best customer several years ago, mostly because the policy was affordable and it was good to feel like we could get some support if - or when - anything went wrong with one of our pets. We never imagined that our beloved dog Maggie would be diagnosed with bladder cancer, and she began a very long battle with it. The treatments were incredibly expensive, but she seemed to be responding well to them and we got many, many more beautiful months with her as a result. Pets Best was there the whole time - we'd make a claim for a chemo appointment, which was a simple form with the receipt attached, and before long, we'd get a confirmation that the claim was being processed, and then the money would show up in our bank. No arguments, no requests for onerous information or documents. This literally enabled us to say goodbye to our sweet girl in the gentlest way. That's priceless. Thank you.
Pet care
Savannah Animal Hospital is on time with appointments. Easy to get meds. They don't push specialists or testing. They were prompt and kind with end of care for my little chipoo. They are caring for my Coonhound currently who may have Cushings.
Disappointing coverage when you actually need it
I would not recommend Pets Best. I’ve paid my premiums expecting genuine protection when my dog needs veterinary care, yet they appear to use an extremely broad interpretation of “pre-existing condition” to deny claims. My recent claim was denied in its entirety by linking aear haematoma to a previous history of allergies, even denying the urgent examination and diagnostic testing. Insurance only has value if it actually provides reasonable coverage when you need it. Based on my experience, I have very little confidence in Pets Best and would strongly advise pet owners to read their exclusions very carefully before purchasing a policy.

Pets Best insurance is the best. The claims process couldn't be easier. They have processed all of my claims in only a couple of days. The reimbursement shows up quickly in my bank account.
Great experience!
To file my puppy's claim after a visit to the emergency room was super easy. I filed my claim on a Friday, by Monday I had an email saying they were reviewing my claim within a week I got the an email stating my refund and not long after the refund was deposited into my account. I've been telling all my friends with pets what a great experience this was, you always expect the worst when having to deal with insurance companies so this was a great surprise!

Pets Best Gave Us Peace of Mind Through Cancer—Twice
Pets Best has been there for us through two separate battles with cancer and has helped save our dog’s life both times. Having pet insurance has made an incredibly stressful and frightening experience a little easier because we could focus on getting our dog the care she needed instead of worrying about the financial burden. Although we hope we never hear the “C” word again, it brings us tremendous peace of mind knowing that if we do, Pets Best will be there to stand behind us. We are truly grateful for their support and highly recommend them to every pet owner.
Logic is irrelevant here
PetsBest covers an annual teeth cleaning. They also cover tooth extraction. But if you have your veterinarian do a teeth cleaning and they find that teeth need to be extracted and ask you if they should proceed, PetsBest requires you to say,” no, for my insurance carrier to cover the extraction. I need to make a second appointment so you can knock my dog out again and go back in and take the teeth out..” it’s absolutely absurd!! and there’s no way on the website to communicate this, they make you call a phone number and get someone totally useless who just says yes, that doesn’t make any sense, but that’s the way it is based on our underwriter in your state.
