Please increase wellness coverage and annual benefit
Wellness coverage and annual benefit has stayed the same at $305 and $535 since I joined Pets Best in 2021. I have called customer reps several times and they said corporate will review but nothing has happened. The costs of office visits, vaccines, blood/fecal exams, etc. has all gone up in the last 5 years. Please evaluate and increase the wellness coverage and annual benefit to meet the economy inflation.
Consisten, Clear Claims Process!
I have two dogs and two insurance policies. Whether I am submitting a well-dog or sick-dog claim, the process is always the same. They acknowledge your claim immediately, let you know if it may take longer than expected, and quickly respond (and pay). If your claim is denied, they explain why and tell you how to get in touch with them if you disagree or have questions. I never have questions because they are so thorough!

"My two dogs ended up with situations requiring surgery -- within two weeks of each other. In 60+ years, only once have I had a dog requiring surgery. Then this. The bills were high. (And the recoveries have been very slow). I was so grateful that Pets Best reimbursed me the 80% within two weeks each time. I couldn't have paid for those bills OOP. I hate to think what the consequences would have been."

Excellent Pet Insurance Company
Since February of 2026 we tried to get a diagnosis for our cat Lui. He had lost a lot of weight and was having gastric issues. We went to two different vets from February through July, a specialist for a surgical biopsy in July, and finally to the Animal Cancer Care center after Lui was diagnosed with two types of cancer. Pets Best made a very emotional and distressful time for my husband and I easier by giving us financial peace of mind. We have had coverage on our six cats for many years, but this year was the first time we've had to file claims. The claim submission process is very simple and convenient. Our claims were reviewed within 2-7 days and every one of them was paid with no questions. We use Care Credit and our claims are paid directly to the card. We finally have Lui on a treatment protocol and he's already feeling better. Pets Best has made things that much easier for us because we don't have to worry about paying high vet bills!
Exorbitant Premium Increases & Poor Customer Service
Do not purchase insurance from this company. We have just received a 130% increase in the cost of our monthly premiums with no warning and no explanation. We are now paying $300 a month! When we reached out to the company with concerns we were greeted with stall tactics, template emails, and claims that they could not answer basic questions about why the premium increased because that information was “proprietary”. We were basically told that our only options were to pay this exorbitant price or give up our insurance-after paying into the policy for over 13 years. Pet owners purchase insurance when their pets are young and healthy because they want the security of coverage as their pets age and become more likely to require veterinary care. If premiums can increase to this extent precisely when a pet reaches its senior years, it raises serious concerns about the value and reliability of the policy.

My experience with Pets Best
I have had to file several claims due to allergies and normal well being care. All claims were handled quickly and efficiently, This is my 5th dog but the only one I have used insurance with. I am so glad I decided to get insurance for him. Its really nice to get some of the money back I have to spend on the vet.
