Amazing Pet Insurance Support
We originally acquired pet insurance for our dog thinking that we wanted to protect him from the general and acute health issues that might arise for a dog like a broken limb or ingesting something he shouldn't have.
As it turned out, our dog has some complicated chronic bowel and internal organ interactions which have been challenging and time consuming to properly diagnose and treat. Trupanion has been so supportive and easy to deal with on so many occasions and even during those late night hospital visits on weekends that inevitably arise. It has been a long journey but one where we could focus on loving our dog and not having to stress about financial decisions for his health. We now have a young daughter who loves and adores him and its so amazing to watch them interact and had it not been for the support from Trupanion, our little guy might not have been here to meet her!
We've recommended Trupanion to so many of our friends and family and we've heard nothing but great things from all of them.

6/11/21 This will be an ongoing review as I am in the process of filing a claim.
6/11/21 This rating is currently based on my limited experience with SPOT. I have not yet filed a claim. I am basing this review off off the registration and payment process as well as excellent customer service (which includes real people answering the phones). I am getting ready to go through the claims process and will change this review accordingly if necessary. I pledge to be fair with my expectations and expect that I will be treated fairly according to the terms of the contract (which I read forward and backward before enrolling) but can be very open ended when it comes to diagnosing pets with pre-existing conditions or preventative testing v/s necessary testing as you can see by previous reviews. I truly hope all goes well and I'm able to leave this 5 start rating where it is. I'll update soon.

Fantastic insurer
Most of us have horror stories dealing with Insurance companies. Trupanion are there for you in your most stressful time when your pet needs you to help him. Trupanion are the model by which all insurance companies should be measured.

My dog has better health insurance than I do!
We have had Healthy Paws Insurance for a couple of years for my now 10 year old Heeler-Shephard mix, Osa. I consider it one of the best decisions we made. The ease and simplicity of filing claims and the speed at which the reimbursement check arrives is a blessing. Customer service has been kind, timely, responsive and personal. Osa just had ACL surgery to the tune of 8k. Knowing that Healthy Paws would be covering 80% of that bill made the whole process smoother. We could concentrate on our sweet dog and her needs and not worry about the bill. I would highly recommend this insurance company to anyone looking to insure their pet. Truly my pet has better health insurance than I do!
