Super convenient and reliable
Filing my claim was super fast and easy even though the prescription had to be filled at a human pharmacy.
I recommend Trupanion all of the time to friends as well as to people that I meet out walking the dog or waiting at the vet. Having my dog Daisy insured has saved her life and kept me from going into serious debt. When Daisy decided to swallow a pine cone whole Trupanion covered most of the cost of emergency surgery and hospitalization. It is so stressful to have a sick pet and so expensive. Having a comprehensive insurance plan with a simple claims process has made all of the difference for me and my mutt.

I could see as a puppy that my dog would be a active boy, so it was a great decision to purchase the insurance then. Now that he is ten, he is having mobility problems and the insurance has helped tremendously.
My experience with Trupanion was thankfully really easy and did not add to a stressful, emotional time. Only thing I'd change is an improved understanding of what you pay (what is not covered), plus your deductible. Would have appreciated an example of what an unexpected overnight in the hospital could have cost to inform deductible choices. In retrospect, I would have chosen a lower deductible. Trupanion was excellent, quick and very responsive with the claim. Thank you
