Pumpkin Pet Insurance is the best pet insurance we have ever had. Pumpkin’s Customer Service and quick response to claims are both exceptional. All questions are quickly and thoroughly addressed. Filing Claim with Ease
My pup had an emergency visit which was very much an unexpected event. Luckily, I had Spot Insurance to help. I went on the website, downloaded the needed documentation and then waited for a response, which took about 2 weeks. My claim was accepted with ease. Within 10-15 days, a check arrived. Spot gives me peace of mind knowing my pups are covered. Thank you for making things simple!

Frustrating 4-Month Claim Dispute Experience
My dog had heartworm, and Pets Best continued to tell me it would not be covered because they believed it was a pre-existing condition. They were confusing it with my dog’s lumps, which were a separate pre-existing issue. It took hours of being on hold just to finally speak with an agent, and even then I still had to file a dispute because they were not going to return any money after we had already spent close to $2,000. My vet even had to write a letter proving and showing the facts that my dog had heartworm and that it was not related to the previous condition involving the lumps. The whole process was extremely frustrating. We were very close to ending our membership, but we had already spent so much money on the policy that we felt stuck continuing it. It also took them a very long time to review and process the disputed claim, even after we submitted clear evidence from our vet. All in all, we waited over four months to receive any money back, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, especially considering how much time, effort, and money we had already invested.

Pets Best's $1,000 deductible with 90% payment and unlimited coverage has allowed us to cover all of our dogs with lower premiums while protecting us from the cost of serious illness or injury. The claim process is easy and we have needed to coverage on 3 dogs over the past two years. I recommend Pets Best to our friends.

Both of my cats got an upper respiratory infection at the same time. One was so sick that he had to stay at the VET for a week. SPOT could not have made it easier to submit their claims. I snapped photos of the bills, answered a couple of questions and 2 days later, the money was in my account. YAY!!

Dismissive Customer Service and Wasted Money
Customer service was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. This experience made the trauma of my pet's end of life very disappointing, upsetting and I felt incredibly unsupported. I also felt that the cost spent over the 12 years of my pet's life for pet insurance coverage has been an absolute waste based on this experience. I have spent thousands with this company to be completely dismissed for minor issues (stating all claimed medical visits were due to underlying issues with no medical evidence of such) or being told my pet's euthanasia would be covered with reimbursement when it was applied towards the deductible of a canceled policy for a pet that was no longer living. It is incredibly disappointing to place your trust in a company and to have them not be helpful, and customer service inconsistent, when you need it. I would not recommend this company to any other pet owners unless you want to do most of the work for their customer service team.

Josie was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2024. She has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments and has been able to achieve remission. The treatments are very expensive and the journey is ongoing. Petsbest has enabled me to give Josie the treatment she needs and we have been cherishing every moment
