Special care for my beloved cat
I selected Trupanion based on a recommendation from his Vet. I am very pleased with how they care about my beloved cat Namath. Trupanion eases my emotions by paying the animal hospital directly, thus allowing me to put all my attention on my pet. Taking a cherished companion to the animal hospital is emotional enough let alone needing to submit claims to pet insurance companies. Trupanion works directly with Vets and animal hospitals easing that burden. Trupanion also pays 90% of the claim, which is phenomenal.

Ease of filing a claim
I neutered my dog Frankie and that afternoon I filed a claim and was finished within minutes. All you need is a copy of your receipt from the vet.

Time Will Tell
I rescued a German Shepherd/mix after the 2022 September hurricane in P.R. She was 3 mo old. Bought the insurance, just like I would do for my “human family”.
No issues to date with the dog to the VET. Customer Service…helpful & friendly.

Great customer service
Rep was very thorough with providing plan coverage information and verifying that I understood all aspects of the plan. She took the time to explain all my options (regarding deductible) and how that would affect the monthly charge for the policy. I initially had to call due to the breeder code expiring and she explained what I can do to waive the waiting period.

I have a 2-year old French Bulldog and debated for a few weeks after we first got him if I should get insurance. After a few discussions with my veterinarian and French Bulldog owners I decided to go for it. Today, I am extremely happy that I decided to get insurance, my dog recently suffered from a herniated spinal disc and required surgery costing approx. 10,000$CAD. Without Trupanion I may have had to make a different decision and I am so grateful that I listened to my heart and subscribed to a Trupanion insurance plan.
