Ollie’s Cancer Hemangiosarcoma

I was devastated when my fur baby, Ollie, was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer called hemangiosarcoma. I know I will do everything I can to help him live longer, even though his diagnosis has a poor prognosis. Healthy Paws has kept my hopes afloat and is always there to provide financial assistance for my baby’s surgery, chemotherapy, medications, and numerous vet visits. Without Healthy Paws, I could never have managed the financial responsibilities involved. Submitting bills via email is easy; they respond quickly and send the checks in just a few days. I can’t thank Healthy Paws enough for their excellent service to my two fur babies when they needed help. I have told all my friends and coworkers to get Healthy Paws as their pet's insurance. Thank you so very much!

From your yearly email.

From your yearly email. We recently reviewed the data for similar pets in your area, and we found that the average cost and use of veterinary care has increased. To ensure that Chase always has access to the best veterinary care possible, we’ll be changing Chase's monthly cost from $157.50 to $219.44 starting on February 26, 2025. Trupanion is unique in that we never increase your monthly cost because you’ve submitted an invoice or because your pet ages. We’re here so you can utilize your coverage and help your pet get the best care possible when they need it most — with no payout limits. February 2023 $157.50 Monthly February 2024 $184.33 Monthly February 2025 $219.44 Monthly. How is this not raising our rates yearly. When your pet gets to the age of really needing this insurance, you can't afford it. This is totally unacceptable, your company is a fraud...

My recent experience

The pet insurance coverage is reasonably priced, and covers virtually everything you think might happen to your pet! The claims process is very easy and payment is very prompt. I would recommend Embrace to anyone owning a pet.

PetsBest denied wellness exam coverage

PetsBest denied wellness exam coverage and annual bloodwork by classifying it as part of a pre-existing condition. I am waiting to hear back on appeal, but it may be up to 60 days, and who knows how much longer if they don't like my documentation.

BE AWARE of hidden costs and exclusions!…

While ASPCA has created a very sleek and user-friendly interface for submitting and tracking a claim, I have found a NUMBER of deficiencies in their up front information and back-end service. While having a rep answer the phone quickly and having access to a kind veterinary nurse on the end of a telehealth line are all very helpful as a consumer - I was pretty floored to find that neutering and spaying aren't covered under their basic preventative care plan...the hard way. If you hope to be reimbursed for this VERY COMMON procedure, you MUST select their PRIME care package, in order to have any reimbursement for those costs. Since ASPCA did a poor job of making this information clear up front, I'm hoping this review saves someone else the trouble I've gone through. You have to read through all of the itemized treatments/procedures to see that it's not covered, which wasn't apparent, nor that there was even an upgraded insurance package available.
