Used to think Pet Insurance was silly

Having never been a dog owner, I used to think that Pet Insurance was silly. Then we got our first dog, a pure bred handsome Giant Schnauzer, Mack. Within 6 months of age, he had been to the vet several times for digestive issues. At that time we thought if this contines, maybe it's time to consider insurance. After doing our research, we decided to go with Trupanion. It's the best thing we every did. His digestive issues went away, but at 4 years of age, he started having siezures, and 4 years later we are up to a couple of hundred dollars a month in medication and medical tests regularly. Every claim that I have submitted for Mack has been processed within a couple of days, and never any quesitons asked. Without this insurance, I'm not sure Mack would have the quality of life that he has now. We insure 2 dogs, and it gives us great peace of mind. Thank you Trupanion !!

Peace of mind when needed

Our Chessie had been having a problem with his knee for several months, and when our regular vet recommended a specialist for the surgery we did not hesitate because we felt confident we would get good coverage from our ASPCA plan and we did. Sure it would have been nice if the allowable amounts had been higher, but a good two thirds was covered with our 80 percent payout. We have filed other claims over the years including claims for well care and are happy with our benefits. Finnigan is very important to us and ASPCA has called to check on Finn and his progress following his procedure and his recovery period which is still ongoing at this point.

I love the Online Claim Process

I've had ASPCA Pet Insurance for my Yorkie for at least 8 years. In the past I've always faxed or mailed in my claims, but, recently decided to try the online claim process when I accidentally slammed the door on Coffee's paw. The online process was so easy and cut the processing time in half. I also receive emails updating me on the status of my claim. It's such a nice perk. I wish I'd used the online claims process a long time ago. It's great!

ACL injury

Excellent service - a little confused over how many times I have to pay the deductible. Because I changed the deductible from $150 to 0 when she had already started treatment for her ACL injury does this mean for the next, let's say six follow ups will each be $ 150 deductible.

great pet insurance

My Labrador ate God only knows what. She was so ill, wouldn't eat or drink and would only vomit. It was terrible. Sheended up needing surgery small bowel obstruction. The surgery was over 2 thousand dollars. I made my clam amamid with in a week I was emailed the amount I'd be receiving which was 90% of the total cost. The whole ordeal was so upsetting but throughout it I had the piece of mind that financially it wouldn't be a problem.

FANTASTIC

My pug was started on coverage on 1/1/14. On 1/3/14 I noticed he was drinking alot. I took him to my vet and he was diagnosed with an elevated calcium level which made us very suspicious of cancer and a urinary tract infection. $1600 worth of meds and diagnostics later including an abdominal ultrasound Darth Vader was diagnosed with a parathyroid tumor and bladder stone. Trupanion saved his life by covering 90% of this cost. He will be having surgery next month and I will be again availing myself of this wonderful service. I highly recommend this company!

They do what they say, who could ask for more?

Healthy Paws has so far come through with everything that they have promised with no hassle. My poor dog is suffering from joint problems despite being a young dong that may be immune mediated, and has needed many tests. Needless to say, these tests are not cheap. Healthy Paws has so far paid exactly what they promised when I signed up. A $100 yearly deductible and 90% of bills. They don't cover visit fees, but they stated that when I signed up. I am not rich by any means, nor want to order up every test in a blind panic, but I do want my dog to get better and using Healthy Paws has been extraordinarily good at easing my mind when it comes to my little dog. When my vet was delaying getting records sent to them, their customer service called me personally and offered to call the vet to get them, and did! I am very pleased with their consideration. Their forms are clear and simple, and it is easy to contact them. So far I would highly and wholeheartedly recommend them to any prospective dog owner. I hope they continue their high level of service in the years to come.
