If I could give zero stars, I would. This so-called “pet insurance” company is an absolute joke. They lure you in with promises of peace of mind and coverage for emergencies, but when it actually matters, they do everything in their power to avoid paying. I recently had to take my pet to the ER for an urgent situation—a visit that was already stressful and expensive. I filed my claim with every single document they requested, thinking I was covered. What did they do? They nitpicked every minor detail to deny the claim only paying $40 after a $900 visit, claiming it didn’t fall under their “coverage criteria.” It’s absurd. What’s the point of paying outrageous monthly premiums if they won’t even cover a legitimate emergency? They hide behind vague fine print and ridiculous loopholes to dodge responsibility. The process of filing a claim is a nightmare, and the customer service is useless. They don’t care about you, your pet, or the fact that you’re relying on them in a time of need. This isn’t insurance—it’s a scam. Save yourself the headache and put the money into a savings account for your pet’s medical expenses. You’ll end up paying out of pocket either way, so why bother with these fraudsters? DO NOT trust them with your pet’s health or your wallet. This company is nothing but a profit-hungry scam operation, preying on pet owners when they’re most vulnerable. Shameful.

Healthy Paws has been consistent in their support from puppyhood to my dog's senior years now. The claim submission process is easy online and reimbursement is very quick. My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer and after submitting the records and bill I received a very thoughtful and personal e-mail extending their support during this difficult time. It is so rare these days to receive a personal and thoughtful and unsolicited communication from a company. It just solidifies how authentic Healthy Paws mission truly is. It meant so much to me. I'm very satisfied with my policy and service and am so glad I have them so I can focus on taking care of my baby.

Wait forever for them to respond only to telling nothing is covered by we need every vet he's ever seen! And everything is pre existing conditions or not enough info! Don't by any pet insurance I've had 3 different ones all a scam I'm paying 163$ a month for one dog and won't cover!!!!! Don't waist your money on any of them

Enrolment was easy...price was almost…
Enrolment was easy...price was almost 50% higher than what the commercial noise stated, but it still seemed to be OK. I did the enrolment because the cat is a registered bengal and worth a bit, plus we love her all to hell. However with any insurance two issues are important. Price increases that are hard to justify, and no coverage for a variety reasons when claims occur. How easy it is to send money for coverage isn't as important as what the coverage really is in the end, and whether or not a pet savings account is cheaper in the end. So we'll see.

Easy Claims Process
I've been an Embrace customer for almost 15 years. They've consistently paid my claims quickly and efficiently during that time, whether for something small or for larger expenses including ongoing, chronic conditions, prescriptions (a HUGE help!), and dental care. I'm easily able to upload my receipts/invoices on their site in less than 5 minutes, and claims are usually processed within a few days.

Waste of money
My shi tzu was diagnosed with glaucoma before I signed up for Embrace. So all my claims involving his eyes even when it’s not due to glaucoma got denied. Then I found out that my premium was going up this month. So I canceled it. Then they offered me a lower rate that would cover more. It didn’t make sense at all. I still canceled it. I just wasted $35.74 every month for over a year. Then they charged my credit card for the new rate of $53.67 on the day I canceled the insurance. I disputed the charge. It’s still under review.

I moved from a prior insurance company…
I moved from a prior insurance company when their rates increased dramatically. Spot Insurance has proven to be much better than the higher-priced option. Their premium costs are reasonable, their reimbursements are as good as expected and their responsiveness and claim payment timeline/efficiency are "SPOT" on.
