Gracie, our 8 month old Labrador retriever ingested pieces of a toy designed for "Extreme Chewers". After several days of not feeling well, her symptoms got worse early one morning. We took her to our vet's 24-hour emergency room fearing an obstruction. After the initial exam, our vet presented us with a course of action, including imaging, with an estimated total treatment cost of over $1,000 (only to climb higher if surgery were needed). Confident in our coverage with Healthy Paws, at a time when our puppy wasn't feeling well and needed medical treatment right away, we were able to focus 100% on her care instead of worrying about the cost of treatment. Without hesitation we authorized her course of treatment. I'm happy to report that she's back to her normal, crazy, puppy self. Processing the claim couldn't have been easier: I snapped a photo of the vet bill with my phone and submitted the claim via the app. Even with the holiday weekend, we had our check in less than a week. Thanks again for the peace of mind! With just this once claim, the premiums for Gracie's policy have paid for themselves for the next 18 months!

I purchased pet insurance 9 years ago for both of my dogs. We had been lucky and they both have been healthy. One of my dogs Beau got very sick in April and was in the hospital for a week. I called ASPCA and they were so caring and helpful during this very stressful time. They took care of my claim and they communicated with me every step of the way. Very glad to have picked this company for my pet insurance. Hopefully my dogs will remain healthy, but it is nice to know that I have ASPCA on my side. Thanks again.

Excellent Insurance!
After reading reviews I decided to get Healthy Paws insurance just in case, although my dog is mostly indoors and even when outdoors has a penned area. She ate a shelled peanut, which got stuck in her intestine and had to have surgery to get it out. The claims process was very easy and the representatives on the phone and through email were very responsive. I got my checks very quickly (within a few days of submitting all the paperwork)!! Excellent service and extremely grateful that I chose Healthy Paws!!! Recommending to all my friends!

Easiest Claims Submissions Process
This is the third pet insurance company I have had a policy with, and so far, the best, as they have the fewest exclusions and their policy is the easiest to understand. The only difficulty for me was the requirement to submit all vet records since our pet had "joined our family," as we travel between cities/states, so I had to get multiple vet records. Not having to fill out claim forms and get vet signatures compensated for that. Our dog was in the hospital for a week and I was worried that the insurance would not pay for this undiagnosed illness; however, there were no questions asked except, as other reviewers have said, Healthy Paws sent a follow up email to ask how he is feeling.

Planning for the what if's saved my little girl!
June 2015 my Star turned 6 years old! The realization of her being with me today is truly due to the amazing team of doctors and staff at Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital located in Bridgewater, New Jersey and TRUPANION Shortly after enrolling Star with TRUPANION she became very ill and the past 6 years has been diagnosed with numerous health issues: Incurable internal bacteria – IBD – allergies to food & vaccinations – bleeding ulcers- pancreatitis - inflammation of the gallbladder. all of which is now controllable with daily medications. TRUPANION has paid over $ 27, 000.00 towards her medical bills. All my claims were processed and checks were mailed out within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Trupanion helped BVH fight the fight because I didn't have to worry about the financial end , I just focus on loving Star through it . I planned for the “what if’s” and it paid off – the doctors have Star on a plan now that is managing her illnesses and for Star … She is wagging her tail and playing everyday!! Thank you TRUPANION for being apart of the process and truly standing behind what your company stands for : “ no limits on cost for illnesses” and “ not changing the cost of her deductible “ or “ increase her monthly fee because she is ill” My Star success is due to BVH & TRUPANION working together! Thank you TRUPANION for providing , not just Star, but all pets with a chance to become healthy when the “what ifs” happens!!
