Over 5-Years of Insurance Experience
Over five years ago, as we watched Allie, our very energetic boxer puppy regularly running through our two story house as if stung by a bee and looking at us as if to say catch me if you can we realized we would have our hands full. During a few of those runs, she would have puppy- crashes, where she could not yet control her footing and run full bore into our walls and sliding glass doors; then one day we watched in horror as she leaped over our sofa and into our glass door; we waited expecting she would go through the glass and that we would be whisking her off to the vet. Though she did not go through the glass, the thought of that made us realize she (we) needed medical insurance. After extensive research, we chose Trupanion and have been grateful ever sense. Luckily, Allie matured to become a 100-lb gentle lady and over the years we've had Allie she never broke through any windows nor had any serious accidents. However, she has been subject to the normal doggie ailments and we have submitted Trupanion insurance claims which have not only been paid promptly, but also with great correspondence, such as prompt notification that claim was received, then a quick notification of the results of the review and the amount we can expect as part of the claim. Within a very short while, the Trupanion check arrives in the mail. We have not had any experience with other companies, but from our over five years of experience with Trupanion, we would strongly recommend covering your pet with this insurance company. Most recently for a skin problem, the claim was processed within a week and the check in our mailbox within 10-days.

Superior Service
I do not write this review because my claim was approved, as some of it was denied and still have to read over why. I write this review today because of the attention to detail, email and phone call response after and during the claim process. The care that this company wants for your pet is above many others. Great service so far
I had my pet in for vaccinations and welfare check. I filed my claim by fax on 7/6/15 and the reimbursement was issued and in my checking account, via direct deposit, on 7/13/15.

Excellent Customer Care
I continue to experience excellent customer care from the Trupanion team. Last month my German Shepherd had surgery to remove a "mass" on his rear end. Trupanion promptly paid my claim using Trupanion software installed in my Vet's office. The cost of the surgery was around $1,050. The Trupanion team quickly answered my questions before and after the surgery. This was my second major claim with very satisfying results from Trupanion.

I adopted my sweet senior dog in October and he has been the best addition to my life. I knew he may have medical problems due to his age, but I loved him at first sight. Unfortunately he recently was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Thankfully we found it rather early so a couple days in the hospital, some meds, and a diet change has helped. Then came the bill. I'm currently unemployed, and it was a tough thing to see, but I knew I had good insurance. I sent everything in to Trupanion and they sent me a check in less than 10 days. I will say I've never been happier to have insurance.
